Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation in Ivory

Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation in Ivory

A little while ago a little package arrived through my letter box with this foundation inside, i was absolutely baffled, i had no idea where it had come from, who it was from or why id got it? A couple of days later the mystery was solved, i received another package with a poster and a note from Revlon saying that id won it - i enter that many things on facebook and twitter and other places that I'd completely forgot that I'd enter it. I was pretty chuffed to say the least.

Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation in Ivory

They sent me Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation* (£8.99) in the shade Ivory, according the poster they sent along as well that suggests i asked for Vanilla, so apparently Revlon know my skin better than i do because Ivory matches my skin really really well - so kudos to Revlon!

I've been reaching for this foundation on a daily basis since it arrived as its really nice to wear, it's so light on the skin and its definitely a good foundation to wear in the summer months as it offers you the cover up you want without being heavy on the face. I found it blends really nicely as well, i like to apply it with either my Real Techniques buffing brush, my Essence Make Up sponge or if I'm feeling a little lazy with my fingers and all three work nicely and give a nice natural finish, so it doesn't leave you looking cake. In terms of coverage id say it's light to medium, but you can build it up if needed - i usually just apply a bit of concealer over and find that's enough for me.

The only negative things about this foundation is it's lack of a pump, pretty much every single foundation I've used has had a pump but this doesn't and the first time i used it, it was lethal. I still haven't found a way to control the flow onto the back of my hand so i usually pour it against my finger and dab the foundation onto the different parts of my face and then work on blending it all in - so i can look past the packaging but i personally would prefer a pump.

Id personally say this is a good dupe for the Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation as they are very similar in coverage, consistency and finish. The only difference i would say between them is that the Urban Decay clings to dry patches if i don't wear it without a primer - I've got a review here, if you'd like to read more about what i mean) I like the Urban Decay Foundation but I'd definitely say the Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation is considerably better, not to mention it's much cheaper.

Have you tried Revlon's Nearly Naked Foundation?
