Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

I was extremely late to the bandwagon with this product; it's been a must have product amongst bloggers and vloggers for quite some time now and initially i wasn't going to do a post on because lets face it their are a million and one already out there but i felt i needed to share my opinion on it so here goes.

One thing i can't deny with this concealer is that the coverage is really good, it covers my dark circles far more than any other concealer than i have tried and my blemishes too, so from that perspective i can see the qualities that people love about this concealer.

However, i find this concealer is just too heavy and it creases under my eyes a lot - i seem to be one of the only people who has this problem but for a product that claims to last up to 16 hours, it shouldnt crease so quickly. I don't want to cover too much about the general concealer itself because you've probably already read dozens of reviews if you've not already got the concealer yourself but i just dont get how people can hype this concealer up so much - personally, i think it's awful. Having good coverage isn't enough for me if it's going to crease easily because that looks worse than the dark circles.

I also dislike the packaging, its a bog standard concealer tube which is fine but the name completely rubbed off in less than a month of owning this, and it seems to happen to everyone as this is something everyone mentions when talking about this product.

Personally, im jealous of all the people that love this concealer because at £4.19 it's an absolute bargain but this just doesn't work for me. I also think something in the ingredients doesn't agree with me because after i started using this concealer, my chin had a completely melt down and i broke out.

Sadly, this concealer just isn't for me but so many people do love it - so do bear in mind that just because it wasn't for me, doesn't mean it won't work for you.

  1. I've seen so much hype about this product, I've still got to pick one up though. I feel the same about most products that I use, but if they're cheap and work then I'm not going to complain :)

  3. I liked this at first but I think it was causing me to breakout! Agree about the packaging, very annoying. I've now got the Rimmel Wake Me Up one and am finding it so much better!

  5. I've recently just bought this concealer after hearing all the hype about it and I think it does the job. I don't really have anything to compare it to but I think I'm going to try the Rimmel Wake me Up when I next run out:)

  6. It's a good concealer, but I understand your lack of enthusiasm, I feel the same. It's good just not great. I find it leaves my under eyes slightly cakey after a few minutes too. I think I'm going to invest in YSL Touche Eclat as I don't think it's had a bad word said about it. Shame it's so expensive though! xo

  8. To be honest I really don't see the hype with this product! I find it very cakey and I'm starting to wonder if its the cause of my bad skin! Also, the writing on the tube rubbed off a couple of days after use. I still need to find a decent concealer! x
