It's no secret that I'm quite the eyeliner lover; winged liner is a staple step in my routine and one that I've worn since i was about 12/13 - almost 10 years. Ive tried and tested so many eyeliners; pencil, liquid and my personal favourite felt tip liners and my latest addition to the make-up clan is this Rimmel Scandaleyes Precision Micro eyeliner  (£4.98). I was getting quite bored with my last one - it was big and chunky and i just wasn't enjoying applying it so i decided to pick this up whilst in Savers as there Rimmel stand was 'everything under £5'.

The nib on this eyeliner is definitely 'micro', which is really great for getting a really thin and precise line, i imagine this would be a great eyeliner for beginniners to use because you can control the application quite easily with it. This works a little bit like a marker in that you have to give it a shake and something rattles inside, i don't know if there is a specific name for that - shaking the liner helps the liner to apply more black, i made the error of applying it without shaking it and it applied a really watery black/grey kind of colour.

I wear this for work and it still in place when I've finished and that's shift varying between 4, 5 and 8 hours so that's pretty good staying power, it doesn't crack either which I've noticed some eyeliners can do after being worn for so long. This is a great felt tip liner - albeit it's not my favourite one out of everyone that I've used but it'd definitely up there.

What's your favourite felt tip liner?

  1. I like the very small nib that's really handy, but I agree it looks like it could be more pigmented?
