Memory Jar 2013

Memory Jar 2013

Can you believe that this is the penultimate post of 365 challenge because i seriously can't? One of my resolutions this year was to keep a memory jar; filling up a jar with notes of all good things that happened no matter how big or small so that when the year ended I'd be able to remember all those little things that made me smile.

Memory Jar 2013

I purposely blurred this out for personal reasons.

I was a bit lazy with the memory jar at times and would sometimes have to spend a bit of time recapping and writing down some of the memories and all the different things that made me smile which means i probably did miss some out but regardless of that i loved reading through these and seeing all the little things i got up to throughout 2013 and all those little things that made me happy.

I know to some people this might seem like such a lame idea but when you've had a bit of a shoddy year or you're feeling a little down it's really nice to pull some of the memories out and remember those little moments that did make you smile.

This is a tradition i intend to keep up and i will definitely be filling a jar for 2014.
Do you have a memory jar?

  1. I read about this idea last year and intended on doing it myself, but I just never got round to it, but I'm definitely going to do it next year. It's not sad at all. It's lovely to look back and remember times that made you laugh and feel good :)

Hope you have a lovely New Year,

  6. This is such a lovely idea, and a great way to look back on the year. I used to actually save the small things such as cinema tickets and stuff when my boyfriend and I first got together but really want to try this for next year :)

    1. Yeah, thats kind of why i wanted to do it as at the end of most years only the bad things tend to stand out, at least this way i can look over all the good things too!
