NOT my images
I recently got into watching Once Upon a Time and managed to watch through two seasons quite quickly - safe to say I'm hooked and eagerly anticipating season 3! One of my favourite characters is Snow White and i absolutely fell in love with the make up she wore in the scenes pictured about! So i decided to try and create my own make-up look inspired by hers. I say inspired because let's face it, its never gonna be identical so this is just my interpretation!

 photo DSCF8050_zps34970d2f.jpg

 photo DSCF8053_zps3497535a.jpg

To create this look i started with Sheer Cover Base Perfector as i wanted a really smooth base as Snow White has very perfect and flawless skin - I'm not quite blessed with such luxury but we can pretend can't we? I used Avon Ideal Shade Foundation Stick in Ivory under my eyes and across my chin almost like a concealer to give me extra coverage, i then went in with my Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation in 1.0 i wanted something really light on my skin because it's not obvious that Snow White is wearing any so i wanted to keep it very natural. I then filled in my brows using the shade 'Carbon' from the HD Brow Kit in Foxy - this is a matte black shade which is a lot darker than what i would normally go for but i wanted quite a bold brow for this look.

For the eyes i used Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette; taking the shade Walk Of Shame and applying it all over my lid, then i applied 'Naked 2' and blended it into the crease, i then took 'Faint' and applied that into the crease as well to darken it up a little bit and to define it a little more. I attempted to line my eyes using Primark Gel Eyeliner, I'm not that great at using gel eyeliner as i find it smudges everywhere but i gave it a go. I went for quite a large wing and a bold line as Snow White's eyeliner is quite bold too. I then coated my lashes with Benefit They're Real Mascara to make my lashes really long, you could even add some false eyelashes to make them even longer.

I then applied a little bit of Rimmel London Wake Me Up Concealer in Ivory under the eyes to attempt to neaten the edges of the gel eyeliner and a little extra coverage for my dark circles. I then set everything in place using my Elf HD Powder, I'm not the biggest fan of this but its a translucent powder and i wanted to avoid adding anymore colour to my face by using my usual Benefit Powder

I applied George Blush in Rosy to the cheeks as it's a very subtle blush and Snow White has a very subtle hint of colour in her cheeks so i wanted to emulate that. To finish the look off i applied Essence Gel Tint in Pink Exposed to the lips, i didn't want it to be as bold as this product is so i applied it lightly with a lip brush to get a more softer tone of the pink and i blotted it too and i really like the shade it's turned out.

So yeah, that is my interpretation - i know its not the same as the one in the photos but i like the look i came up with and i hope you do to!
Do you watch Once Upon a Time?

272. Here Comes the Bride | FOTD, OOTD & Photos

If you read yesterdays post, you'll know i went to my cousin's wedding on Friday - i wanted to do a post on it, sharing some photos of what i wore (officially my first OOTD so please be nice) the hotel room and also a couple of the wedding too. I took these photos on my Iphone as i didn't want to be carrying my big camera around - i wish i did because these photos haven't turned out all that great due to a couple of reasons; things like lighting, people moving too fast or me just being to shaky/slow and making it blur so I'm sorry about that but hey ho it's not exactly like i can go and retake them.

These photos aren't that great as we had a set of double doors where we could go outside and the sun was beaming through so I'm sorry but i really wanted to show you the room as it was lovely. The wedding took place in a really beautiful Hotel/Golf & Spa Resort in Knutsford, it was a very expensive/posh hotel and the room was really nice. The hotel itself was a really nice place and the staff were lovely, however i found it quite weird when they referred to me as mam or madam! It wasn't a cheap place to stay but it was worth it and id definitely stay there again, the room was so nice and the bed was insanely comfortable - i slept like a baby. The grounds of the hotel were really nice as well, it was just such a really picturesque place and i wish id had more time to have a good wonder round and explore the place.

Dress: Primark
Shoes: Peacocks
Bag: Borrowed off my Sister (no idea where she bought it)

I've never done an OOTD before and I'm fully aware that i don't have the most amazing figure but i wanted to share my outfit with you so please be nice haha. This dress was an absolute steal and i can't believe i got it from Primark, its such a gorgeous print and i just love the dress. It has a small cut out at the front and back but it was ok but the way its placed means i wasn't all on show or anything. It's a very girly dress as it had netting underneath that made it poof out a bit. I paired this dress with a simple pair of black heels and a black bag because i didnt want to overpower the print of the dress. I went very minimal with jewellery too; i wore black stud earrings, an infinity bracelt and some over the knuckle rings. For nails; i wore some false nails from Primark, I've had them a few times and they are the best ones I've ever used, Ive never needed to cut them down because they fit my nails perfectly and they are so natural looking that its not obvious I'm wearing false ones and they are the perfect length too, i hate those nails that make you look like you're wearing claws.

Face: Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation | Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer | Benefit Hello Flawless Powder* | Benefit Hoola Bronzer | NYX Blush in Summer Peach

Eyes: Urban Decay Naked Basics | Kiko Ultimate Pen Liner | Sephora Contour Eye Pencil in Tiramisu | Benefit They're Real Mascara

Lips: L'Oreal Caresse Lipstick in Rose Mademoiselle

I kept my make up quite simple, i forgot to get a photo that shows my make up much closer so this is the best I've got (I'm terrible, i know) The eye look i wore is the really similar to the one i wore in my Theatre Fotd post except i added more eyeliner to darken and define the eye. I also contoured my cheeks to make them try and appear more slimmer, I didn't want anything too over the top or anything that i was going to have to constantly check and fix because it was a long day and i didn't want to be worrying that anything had smudged etc... but i was really happy with how the make up turned out and it lasted me all day, i only freshened it up once so that was good!

Little Cuties!

 photo Untitled-1_zpsbaf322b6.jpg

I've not included many photos because they don't know about my blog and i don't want to upload loads of photos without permission - i also blurred out their surname on the chocolate just because i don't think its fair to include it, I'm not bothered about mine because if you follow me on Twitter or Pinterest you'll already know it - also how cute is the name card and chocolate, such a nice touch to find on the table (I've even brought them home as keepsakes!) It was a really beautiful wedding and the bride looked absolutely stunning, i just love her dress so much. I grew up with my cousin so it was really strange seeing him getting married (it's all so grown up) but it was so lovely to see how happy he was, he literally did not stop smiling and the smile on his face as the bride was walking towards him down the aisle was incredible he was literally beaming. I'm so grateful to have been able to share their special day and it was so clear to see just how much they love each other.

Dress: Primark
Blazer: H&M
Shoes: Primark

Seeing as i shared my outfit i wore for the wedding i thought id also show you the outfit i wore the next day. I really liked wearing this outfit it's quite dressed up and put together but it was really comfortable to wearing and I'm really loving wearing my blue blazer from H&M at the moment, it can finish an outfit really nicely.

I really hope you liked this post, i know the photos aren't brilliant but i really wanted to share some of it with you!
Hope you had a lovely weekend!

271. Monthly Favourites | September

 photo DSCF8608_zpsfca684d3.jpg

I'm doing my September favourite a couple of days earlier than i normally would but were still nearing the end of the month so it's still technically okay! I don't actually have that many favourites as I've literally been sticking to most of the same products but there are a couple of items that I've enjoyed using.

Dove Hair Therapy Leave-In Conditioning & Care Spray
This has been featured in so many people's blogs and vlogs so i was instantly intrigued to try it, i really like this, it makes my hair feel so soft. I mostly use this on my hair when its wet as it really helps to lock in the moisture but if my hair is feeling really dry and like it needs some extra moisture i will use it in between washes too. I really like how this makes my hair feel, its really affordable and it smells nice too!

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer in Ivory
I went on the hunt for a different concealer to try than Collection Lasting Perfection because to be quite blunt i just don't like it, i put a tweet out for some recommendations and a few people mentioned the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer so i decided to pick it up and so far i really like it. It covers my under eyes really well, blends easy and stays in place all day too. I was a bit worried using it on my blemishes what with it being 'wake me up' i thought it might highlight the area more but it actually doesn't, it covers it really well and i much prefer this to the collection one.

MUA Undressed Palette
I've had this for a quite a while now and it's become my everyday palette for work. I didn't want to use one of my more expensive high end ones just for work and i already had this in my collection so I've been using this a lot. This is a dupe for the Urban Decay Naked Palette; it's excellent quality, great pigmentation and really long lasting too and the best part is that it's super affordable.

Rimmel London Kate Moss Lipstick in 107
So i jumped on the bandwagon and I'm so glad i did. I love it, it's quite a bold colour but it's a really gorgeous berry red shade and it's just perfect for the autumn/winter season and it's definitely going to be one I'll be reaching for. It has a kind of matte finish but it's really moisturising and is really long lasting too. I'm so happy i decided to pick this up, its just lovely.

Maybelline Baby Lips in Pink Punch & Cherry Me
I wear these mostly for work; now if your looking for a lip balm that will really hydrate your lips id recommend looking elsewhere but these are really nice to add a pop of colour to the lips without being to over the top. Don't get me wrong these are really nice to wear and do feel nice on the lips but id say these are better for the colour payoff than for being a lip balm. They don't last very long on my lips but i reapply them frequently so i can live with that.

& a couple of non-beauty favourites:

 photo DSCF8614_zpsb53127fa.jpg

 photo DSCF8615_zpse909b3cd.jpg

Iphone & Panda Phone Case
A non beauty favourite here; i recently upgraded my phone, i got rid of my shoddy blackberry and upgraded to an Iphone. I only got an Iphone 4 because to be quite honest, i don't use my phone all that much and i couldn't justify increasing my bill by an absolute fortune just to get one of the newer models. I'm happy really with this and it works just fine me, i also finally have instagram - youralmostalice if you're interested in following - which makes me super happy because I've wanted it for ages but it was never available for blackberry. Also, just look at my phone case - it's so cute and it was a bargain at £1.99, its not the most practical cover especially for taking photos but i love it and for the time being it's fine for me!

Eyebrow Sugaring
This sounds really strange, but i went to have my eyebrows waxed because they really needed shaping and the place i went actually use a method called sugaring, it's one of the oldest methods and it's basically where they use like a paste and shape it using that (explained that one really well, didnt i?) but anyways, it was quite painful but i apparently have stubborn brows because mine started bleeding and the lady said she had never ever witnessed someones eyebrow bleed from it but i love the results and it's made filling in my eyebrows so much easier and they look so much better - i would definitely recommend trying it as i will definitely be going back to get it done again as i love my brows.

WeddingI went to my cousin's wedding yesterday and it was so beautiful it only felt right to include it in my monthly favourites, ive never been to a big wedding before and this was just lovely. Im so grateful to have been able to share their special day with them and to see two people so in love was just so nice - also, the hotel it was in and where we were staying was pretty darn nice!

What are some of your favourites for this month?

270. FOTD | 'Our House' at the Theatre

 photo DSCF8064_zps7962d039.jpg

 photo DSCF8070_zps04d7bb86.jpg

 photo DSCF8020_zpsb7f84bd5.jpg

Before i start; im actually scheduling this and tomorrows post as my cousin is getting married today or by the time this goes live he will be married - im very excited as ive never been to a proper big wedding before and were staying in a fancy hotel so it should be a lovely weekend. I also had my hair cut yesterday and had my fringe put back in, my hair feels in much better condition but i feel like shes cut my fringe a bit too short but it'll grow fairly quick anyways. (Also apologies for the lighting in the photos, these were taken around 6pm-ish)

Anyways, i went to my local theatre last night and watched 'Our House' as one of my very close friends was in it - it was a great show and im so proud of her! If you've never heard of Our House it's a musical that is based on the music off Madness, its an usual story that goes along with it but it was very enjoyable none the less! I thought i'd share with you the make-up that i wore:

To start i primed my face with 17 Photo Flawless Skin Primer and blended Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation in Shade 1.0 using a beauty blender as i find that achieves the best finish with this foundation, once that was finished i moved onto my brows and filled them in using 'ash brown' from the HD Brows 'Foxy' Kit and i set those in place using MUA Clear Mascara as brow gel.

I applied Mac Paint Pot in Painterly as my base and acheived my eye look using shades from Urban Decay Naked Basics; I started with 'Walk of Shame' and applied that all over the lid to give it a wash of colour, i then took 'Naked 2' and blended that into the crease, i also add a small amount of 'Faint' into the outer corner and took it under the eye a little to give some extra definition to the eye. I lined my eyes using Essence I Love Punk Jumbo Eyeliner Pen and applied Kiko 30 Days Daily Mascara to the lashes. To add some extra length i also applied a coat of Benefit They're Real Mascara on top of that.

Back to the base, i concealer my blemishes and under the eyes using Rimmel London Wake Me Up Concealer in Ivory and set everything in place with Benefit Hello Flawless Custom Cover Up Face Powder in Gee, Im Swell Ivory* I wanted a little more definition in the face so i lightly contoured using Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer and highlighted the top of my cheekbones, down the middle of my nose and my cupids bow with YSL Touche Eclat. I added a hint of colour to the cheeks with Topshop Blush in Head Over Heels and set everything in place with Collection Fix Me Up spray.

I'd have loved to pair this with a really bold lip colour but due to the colour of my dress i felt like it would clash too much so i played it safe and wore Mac Lipstick in Creme Cup!

It was a really easy look to do and i really enjoyed wearing it!

269. Favourites | Red Lip Products

L'Oreal Caresse Lipstick in Rebel Red | Mac Lipstick in Ruby Woo | Essence Stay Matte Lip Cream in Silky Red | Rimmel London Kate Moss Lipstick in 107 | Revlon Colourburst Lip Butter in Candy Apple | Misguided Lipsplash in Chilli Red
If your a regular on my blog you'll know I'm a big fan of a red lip, it may not be something i wear often but i wish i had the courage to wear it on an everyday basis as it's just the ultimate classic look - in my opinion of course. As autumn is approaching, red lips will start to appear a little more and i thought id share with you some of my favourite red lip products.

L'Oreal Caresse Lipsticks in Rebel Red
This isn't as bold as some of the others and it has a very sheer application which makes it a very wearable red for during the day which is perfect for people like me who get a little intimidated by a bright and bold red lip. This still offers a red lip but its not as bold, it tones it down. I love the packaging of these, they look quite luxurious and like they should cost more than they actually do.

Mac Lipstick in Ruby Woo
My only high end red lip product - this is proper ruby red and is super pigmented. This is a matte lipstick so it lasts on the lips for hours, however it is one of the products id recommend using with a lip liner and taking a lot of care to apply because one slip and you'll be left with a lovely stubborn red mark on your face. This is the red lipstick i normally turn to for a night out because i know it will still be in place hours later and it won't look stupid if i forget to reapply.

Essence Stay Matte Lip Cream in Silky Red
I reviewed this quite recently on my blog and admitted that I've never gotten much wear out of it but not because its not a good product because its such a bright shade (one day ill wear it out) this is a proper true red shade and even though it's a matte lip cream, it is really creamy and moisturising on the lips - you wouldn't actually think its a matte product because of how creamy it is. It's insanely pigmented and has excellent staying power.

Rimmel London Kate Moss Lipstick in 107
This is the newest addition to my red lip family and I'm in love. Its a lot darker then the usual shade of red i go for this is a more dark berry tone but its so pretty and I've even worn this out during the day - this is going to be my go to lip colour this season i can feel it. It's so nice to wear and despite being having a quite a matte finish it's really moisturising to wear. I love it!

Revlon Colourburst Lip Butter in Candy Apple
This is quite similar to L'Oreal's Rebel Red - it has the same sheer application and it's super moisturising on the lips thanks to its lip butter formula. Like Rebel Red this is a wearable red, this is one of my favourite lip products to use during the day because it allows me to wear a red lip without feeling to on show. I've almost used all of this up and this is one of those products that has a 'holy grail' status and is a staple item in my make up collection.

Misguided Lipsplash in Chilli Red
I don't own many red lip glosses, in fact i think this might be one of the only ones i have. I'm very fussy about lipgloss which I've mentioned many times on my blog but this has a lovely consistency; it's not sticky and it's really nice to wear, it's not the most pigmented red lip product but it does add a lovely hint of red to the lips so its a great product to wear if you want a really subtle hint of red.

What are you favourite red lip products?

268. Guest Post | Get Healthy, Youthful-looking Skin by Consuming Vegetables

 photo colorful-vegetables-755879_zpseb38114d.jpg

Are you struggling to get a healthy, youthful-looking complexion? Before loading up on beauty and other skincare products that promise to give you “glowing and radiant-looking skin,” here’s what you should remember: healthy skin starts on the inside. So if you want to take care of your skin, make sure to load up on foods that are designed to cleanse your system and effectively improve your complexion.

Vegetables Are Your Skin’s Best Friend

Fresh, raw organic vegetables are among the best foods you can eat to keep your skin healthy. They are naturally high in both water and nutrients, including essential minerals, which not only promote your skin health, but also help improve other body functions.

An article published in Discovery Health lists red and green vegetables as some of the best foods that can help promote your skin health. Orange-red vegetables are full of beta-carotene, which converts to vitamin A in your body. Vitamin A can prevent cell damage and premature aging. Spinach and other green, leafy foods also contain a good amount of vitamin A.

However, keep in mind that cooking vegetables may destroy their valuable micro-nutrients. To maximize their nutritional content, you should juice or ferment your vegetables instead of cooking them.

The Benefits of Vegetable Juicing

Nearly every health authority recommends consuming more than five servings of vegetables and fruit per day, but very few people meet these requirements. Juicing is a simple and easy way to ensure that you get enough vegetables in your everyday diet. What’s more, it also:

  •  Helps you absorb most of the nutrients found in the vegetables. This is useful for people who have impaired digestion. Juicing helps “pre-digest” nutrients in vegetables, helping you to receive most of their benefits.
  • Allows you to consume vegetables in an efficient and time-saving manner. Not everyone has the luxury of preparing and eating fresh vegetable salads every day. By juicing your vegetables, you will be getting the same amount of nutrients as you would if you were to eat three platefuls of salad.
  • Helps you add a wider variety of vegetables in your diet. Eating the same salad every day means you’re consuming the same types of vegetables and getting the same nutrients. Not only does this violate the principle of regular food rotation, but it also increases your chance of developing a food allergy. When juicing your veggies, make sure that you use different varieties of fresh greens. Feel free to experiment and try out different combinations.
If you’re a beginner to juicing, you can start with fennel, celery, cucumbers, as these are the easiest to digest and tolerate. Eventually, you can move on to lettuce, endive, escarole, spinach, cabbage, bok choy, carrots, tomatoes, beets, and fennel. You can also add other ingredients to your vegetable juice, like spirulina, chlorella, coconut water, citrus fruits, and even cayenne pepper.

It’s also a good idea to eat the pulp, as it contains most of the fibre in vegetables. Try dressing it up with some Himalayan salt, melted raw organic butter, and other condiments that you may enjoy, like balsamic vinegar and crushed red peppers, to turn it into a delicious meal.

Fermenting Your Vegetables Increases Their Nutritional Value

Fermenting foods was originally done to prolong the shelf life of food, so that they would still be edible through cold, harsh winters. Today, fermented foods are known to help promote the growth of friendly intestinal bacteria, so you can maintain optimal digestion and other body processes.
Fermented foods, particularly vegetables, are very good chelators – they are capable of drawing out toxins and heavy metals from your body. This has a profound impact on your skin and your overall health.

In an ABC News article, Dr. Frank Lipman, an integrative physician and director of Eleven Eleven Wellness Center in New York City, explains the link between your gut and skin health: "If your gut's bacteria balance is unfavorable, the toxic bacteria can leak through microscopic holes in the wall of your gastrointestinal tract and travel throughout your body, including to your skin, causing inflammation that prevents the skin from functioning properly."

Aside from fermented vegetables, some of the best fermented foods are raw yogurt, kefir, kombucha, natto, and tempeh. Variety is key – the greater the variety of fermented you eat, the more types of beneficial microorganisms you will get.

Proper nutrition is one of the most important factors of being beautiful and healthy inside and out. Make sure you get enough vegetables every day to achieve radiantly beautiful skin.

267. Products I've Used Up | August & September

 photo DSCF8443_zps37f9d7c2.jpg

 photo DSCF8444_zpsc9411bcd.jpg

 photo DSCF8445_zpsc3a80c70.jpg

I've got an empties post for you today, i don't have as many as my last one thankfully but I've still managed to use up a fair few products as i only do these posts every two months it always amazes me to see just how many product i do actually use up!

Soft & Gentle Anti-White Marks Deodorant in Verbana & Waterlily
I think i mention this deodorant nearly every time i do an empties post, its a good deodorant and they smell really nice and it does work. This is the first time i actually didn't repurchase this one because I've been trying out some others just to if they are any out there that are even better as i feel like this one isn't working the same any more, maybe I've just gotten too used to it?

Inecto Pure Coconut Shampoo & Conditioner
As these are Pure Coconut they smell incredible and they were a decent shampoo and conditioner to use but i just felt like they didn't make my hair feel as clean as it could have, they didn't improve the condition of my hair but they didn't make it worse either. They were okay don't get me wrong but they were anything to rave about.

B. Pure Micellar Water
Ive never tried Bioderma and when i saw B. had released their version of a Micellar Water i decided to pick it up and try it out and see what the fuss was about. At first i liked it, but the more and more i used it the more i started to dislike, it felt kind of drying on my skin and just didn't enjoy using it. I have since read other people's review on this and they weren't so positive either so I'm guessing this is an all round dud product.

Superdrug Strawberry & Raspberry Shower Gel
This is really cheap and i love the scent of it. It didn't last me very long, i think i used this up within a couple of weeks which isn't ideal really but as its so cheap it's easily replaced. I did like this and as i mentioned i really loved the scent but as a shower gel it's not the most amazing product, it cleans you but it doesn't feel moisturising or like it cleans you properly. It's a great quick fix but ideally i wouldn't repurchase it again.

Boots Natural Collection Bodyspray in Dewberry
I use a lot of body sprays in the summer (as you will see in this post) because they are so much easier and much more refreshing to use in the summer. I spray myself a lot in the summer with it being so warm so i used this up pretty quickly, Dewberry is not a scent i would normally pick out but it did actually have a nice scent to it. It was extremely long lasting but as i said i sprayed myself alot so i was topping it up anyways.

Radox Pure Clear 24Hr Deodorant
I've recently been trying out a different deodorant to my usual one, at first i liked this but the more i used it the more i felt like it was really keeping me fresh or dry. It claims to be 24hr but id find myself reapplying this throughout the day so it's obviously not 24 hours. It's not the worst deodorant I've ever tried but it's not one ill be buying again either.

FCUK Bodyspray
This has a really nice scent to it, i don't quite know how to describe it but on the bottle it said something about it being an oriental fragrance. It was a really pleasant scent and now whenever i smell it will remind me of work because i wore it for the first few weeks i was there. If i could find this again i would actually buy it but i have no idea where its from and i did originally win this in a giveaway.

Fearne Cotton Bodyspray
Yet another bodyspray - I've gone through a few of these lately. This one has a very sweet smell of vanilla - not a scent id expect from a Fearne Cotton range but i love vanilla and this smells lovely. I don't think you can buy Fearne Cotton's range individually its just in sets at Christmas time but i genuinely would buy this again.

Korres Guava Little Shower Gel
I do like this but you don't get many uses out of it and i imagine this isn't a cheap shower gel to buy. It does work nicely though, it lathers really well and does leave you feeling really clean. I don't think id repurchase this because although it was nice to use it's not been the best one I've used either.

Nivea Daily Essentials Refreshing Facial Gel Wash
I really enjoyed using this, it was really gentle on the face it lathered up really well and it felt like it really cleaned the skin. I would buy this again as it was really pleasant to use and it worked with my skin well. I have normal skin but i sometimes get a few dry patches, this worked well with my skin and didn't make it worse or aggravate. My sister also uses this and she has oily skin and this works well for her too so its an all round good product.

Nivea Daily Essentials Light Moisturing Day Cream
Again, i really enjoyed using this on my face - it was really soft and moisturising and because its a light moisturiser, it didn't feel heavy on the skin or sticky, it absorbs it quite quickly but really does leave the skin feeling hydrated and moisturised.

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil
This was amazing to use, you only needed the smallest amount and it literally just dissolves the make-up off your face, even stubborn mascara or eyeliner it literally just dissolves. This is the perfect thing for people who hate taking their make-up off because this makes it so quick and easy, there isn't any need to scrub or anything it's just amazing. The price of this is a little steep for my liking but i want to try L'oreal's version and see if that's good, if not i will definitely consider  purchasing a full size.

MUA Professional Eye Primer
If you are on a budget or you just don't fancy splashing out on an expensive product, this is a great eye primer and decent alternative to likes of UDPP, it does the same job as the more expensive eye primers it makes your eyeshadows last longer and really helps to make the colours pop as well. I think MUA might have repackaged this as i didn't see it last time i was in but they did have another one. I would happily repurchase this one as it's great quality

MUA Clear Mascara
I use this as a brow gel, i don't see the point in spending a fortune on a brow gel when a clear mascara does the exact same job - I've already repurchased this as i wont be without it. It sets my brows in places, grooms them and they really don't budge after either. The only thing i dislike it that it goes a icky colour after a while because i use it after I've filled in my brows so it picks up some product but i can live with that.

Benefit They're Real Mascara
This is my all time favourite mascara and thankfully i have another one ready to go. I love how this makes my lashes look, it adds some serious length to them and the little ball shape at the end of the brush helps separate them out so it not only gives me longer lashes they look much fuller too. Its is a bit expensive but i adore this mascara and genuinely think its worth every penny.

Tarte Clean Slate Poreless 12hr Perfecting Primer
I really enjoying using this, it has a really nice formula its really similar to the Smashbox Photo finish primer but i think i might prefer this one. It provides an even base and helps keep my foundation in place. I love the packaging of this too and i wish we had Tarte in the UK so i could repurchase it.

Balance Rescue Face Tonique
I didn't enjoy using this, it was a great thing to use to give your skin an extra cleanse and remove any extra dirt on your face but it left my skin feeling so dry it was literally like it had just sucked the moisture out of my face and i really didn't like that about it.

M. Savers Fragrance Free Baby Wipes
I've repurchased these a million and one times before they are so handy to have, whether its to remove any make-up or just neaten it up they're really gentle to use. As they're fragrance free they're fine to use on sensitive skin too and they're super cheap to buy too.

Samples I've Used Up:Please do bear in mind that these are just initial impression, what I'm thinking after the one use.

StriVectin-TL Tightening Body Cream
I don't know how well it works as a tightening cream as after one use it isn't go to make a massive difference so in terms of that i can't comment but as a body cream i really like it, it was really hydrating and moisturising to use.

Nivea Inshower Body Moisturising Skin Conditioner
I'm still undecided on what i think about this, it was nice to use and i love the idea of it - it's every lazy girls dream to not have to waste time moisturising but i just feel like it wasn't enough moisture for me. I think this would be a great thing to use on holiday or if your in a rush but for everyday use its just not enough for me.

Herbal Essences Bee Strong Shampoo & Conditioner
These were nice to use, my sister loves these and says that she feels they have made a difference to her hair. I didn't notice a massive different to my hair but i imagine that would happen over a few washes rather than just after one. I did really like the scent of these, especially the conditioner i thought it had a very similar scent to the Aussie range. I don't plan to go out and buy these at the moment but i would consider getting them in the future.

L'oreal Ever Riche Shampoo
I really liked using this, Ive actually used about three of these samples and each time I've really liked it. These really lather up and really make the hair feel clean and soft and I'm definitely considering buying these, they're a little more expensive that what i normally like to pay for my shampoo and conditioner but I'm definitely considering it.

Hugo All Over Lotion for Face & Body (Vanilla & Sweet Orange)
I really enjoyed using this, i love that is suitable for both the face and body but i did only try this on my body but i like that its a versatile product. It was really moisturising and it left my skin feel really nice and soft and this had such an incredible scent to it. It was really sweet which i really like and id honestly buy this just for the scent.

(Malin + Goetz) Vitamin B5 Body Moisturiser
This is probably my favourite sample out of the lot, it was so rich and really moisturising. It left my skin feeling really soft and hydrated and i just love how it left my skin feeling. This is quite steep in terms of price so whether i actually end up with this, i don't know but i did really enjoy using it.

and that is all the products that I've used up during August and September!

266. Review | Creightons Argan Smooth Deep Moisture Shampoo & Conditioner

 photo DSCF8432_zps9343b29d.jpg

 photo DSCF8434_zps31ec63c0.jpg

A bit of a different review for you today, i don't often do hair care reviews not quite sure why though i think its because sometimes i don't always know what to say but today i wanted to share with you my latest discovery. I recently ran out of shampoo and conditioner and i wasn't sure which ones i wanted to try next, so whilst i made a choice i decided to pick up some cheap shampoo and conditioner to use in the meantime. Enter Creightons Argan Smooth Deep Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner at 99p each, its hardly breaking my bank balance and it isn't much to lose should i not like them.

These are infused with argan oil which we all know is really good for your hair, it's very moisturising and nourishing to hair so having a shampoo and a conditioner that has it built in - you can only be guaranteed its going to be doing something good for your hair. I've only used these a handful of times and I'm quite impressed, they lather up really nicely and they make my hair feel really clean. I feel like they make a difference to my hair, don't get me wrong they haven't fixed all my damaged ends - it'd take a bloody miracle or a haircut to sort those out, but they has made some difference and they leave my hair feeling so silky and soft! They also have a really pleasant scent to them as well, I'm not quite sure what it is but i like it - its not overpowering or anything its just pleasant.

For 99p each you really can't go wrong. They are bank balance friendly, they leave your hair really clean and silky smooth and they have argan oil in them - what more could you need? These are such a great and cheap option to go for whether your on a budget or like me you are just undecided and need something to use in the meantime.

Whats Shampoo & Conditioner would you recommend?

265. FOTD | Autumnal Make Up (High Street Products)

I mentioned a little while ago that i was considering doing some autumn face of the days but do some that are highstreet products only, so i had a couple of errands to run yesterday and decided to give it a go. Ill be honest and say i wish the eye make up was a little more autumn looking but i didn't want to go to overboard whilst i went for a bold red lip.

To get this look i started by priming my face with Seventeen Photo Flawless Skin Primer and then i buffed my Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in 115 Ivory into my skin using my Real Techniques Buffing Brush. I groomed my eyebrows and filled them in using Etude House Drawing Eyebrow Pen in Brown/Black and set them in place with MUA Clear Mascara using it as a brow gel.

I primed my eyes with Essence I Love Stage Eyeshadow Base, to get the eye look I'm wearing i actually used three different palettes (you wouldn't think so, would you looking at the photos?) First, i took MUA 'Undressed' Palette and took 'Shade 1' applying in the inner corner and 3/4 across the eyelid, i patted a little of 'Shade 3' into the centre of the eye and moved onto my Sleek 'Oh So Special' Palette taking the shade 'Gateau' and applied that into the outer corner after blending it together lightly, i took 'Shade 9' from MUA 'Glamour Nights' Palette and blending that onto of 'Gateau', i only applied a very small amount of 'Shade 9' just to give a hint of red to the eye as it's quite a bright colour. From the same palette i took 'Shade 7' and used it to line my eyes, i also took it underneath the eye a little and blended it out to give it a very natural look. For mascara, i used Kiko 30 Days Daily Lash Treatment Mascara and to finish the eyes i lined my waterline with Rimmel London Scandaleyes Waterproof Kajal Kohl in Nude to open the eyes up a little.

Going back to the base, i applied Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer in Ivory under the eyes and took a little bit to cover the blemish on my chin and powdered my face using Vivo Compact Powder in Soft Vanilla. For the cheeks, i applied Sleek Blush in Flamingo - it's quite a vibrant look blush but it applies so lovely to the cheeks and gives you a natural rosy cheek.

To finish the look; i applied the infamous Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 107, I bought this especially for the Autumn season as it's a gorgeous berry red shade and i think this will be the perfect shade for Autumn.

I like this make-up look and the bold lip makes such a change to the usual fotds i do, i do wish it was more 'Autumn' looking but i like it anyways. I'm definitely going to do more of these and who knows maybe ill improve as the season progresses.

What products do you like to wear in Autumn?

264. Review | Osiris BB Cream

 photo DSCF8415_zps4121c189.jpg

 photo DSCF8420_zps9d2954e1.jpg

 photo DSCF8418_zps19af8296.jpg

As most of you know I've been very committed to my Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation these past few months but I've recently pryed myself away from it and started trying the Osiris BB Cream. I've been told that this is originally from Lidl and costs £1.99, but i bought this from Poundworld so i may be wrong. My sister mentioned that a few people have said this is a really good product so i thought for £1 it was worth a try.

I'm on the lookout for a new foundation for the new season but i thought this might be a good product to wear for work, as a BB cream is similar to a tinted moisturiser it offers the coverage of a foundation but is light and moisturising - exactly the kind of product that i need for work!

This is a decent BB cream; it's really moisturising, applies easily and blends out really nicely. It feels pleasant to wear on the skin as well which i really like. You can apply this both with a brush or with your fingers, it applies well with both - i personally just use my fingers as it's quick and easy. I really don't like to wear heavy products on my skin but this feels really light and it offers enough coverage for me too - I'd say its a light to medium coverage, but with concealer and powder you could easily build it up if you required more.

The only thing that I'm not too crazy about with this is the shade - i don't know if this is just me but i have the shade 'light' and whilst its still wearable, in some lights i find it can look a little dark. As i said this might just be me though, but it is still wearable.

For the price of this i can't really complain, it's a decent BB cream and it's one I'll continue to wear for work as it's nice and light but provides enough coverage for me. To be honest, i would recommend this - it's really affordable, great for people on a budget and it is a decent BB cream.

What's your favourite BB Cream?

263. Beauty Blogger Tag

 photo large_zps897ea864.jpg

I'm extremely busy today as I'm working all day and then I'm out with my one of my oldest friends in the evening so I'm actually scheduling this post, i hope you don't mind but i won't have chance to post otherwise. I'm super tired at the moment and extremely excited to have the weekend off, I'm going to chill out, sleep and take lots of blog photos!

1. Is your hair naturally curly or straight?
It's neither, my hair is in between. Its not quite curly but not quite straight more of a wavy mess.

2. What is your natural hair colour?
Its dark brown.

3. Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon?
My sister always does it for me at home, I've never had my hair dyed at a salon.

4. How often do you wash your hair?
2-3 times a week.

5. Do you wear the same style every day or change it?
I change it up a lot, it just depends on my mood.

6. Do you do your own mai/pedi or go to a salon?
Neither to be honest, I've never had a proper manicure or a pedicure nor have i ever done one. Is this bad?

7. How often do you change your nail polish?
Whenever i feel like it, sometimes its a couple of days and sometimes i can leave it on for a week. It just depends on my mood.

8. Do you polish your toes in the winter, or just in the summer?
I rarely ever polish my toes unless i know my toes are going to be on show but i have the teeniest toenails ever so painting them is kind of pointless.

9. How long does it take you to put your make up on?
It depends on how long i have. I generally take 15-20 mins, but i can be quicker if I'm in a rush or if I've got plenty of time then i take even long and take my time.

10. What do you do first? Face or eyes?
A mixture i start with my primer/foundation then do my eyes and then go back to my base and do concealer/powder etc... so i guess i split it.

11. Do you "collect" makeup or just buy what you need when you need it?
Both really, i buy as i need it but i also collect different products too.

12. How often do you wear false eyelashes?
Not often, just on special occasions.

13. Do you do a full face of make up everyday?
No, if I'm going out then i will but even then it depends on how I'm feeling and whether I'm having a good skin day or not.

14. Do you wear makeup when you are home alone (or with family)?
If I'm home and I'm not going anywhere then i don't, I'll have a make-up free day.

15. Will you leave the house without makeup?
Yes, I prefer not too but i would.

16. How many high end products do you own?
A fair few.

17. How often do you wash your makeup brushes?
I have a daily spray that i spray the ones i use on a daily basis with and i give them a deep clean every couple of weeks.

18. Do you plan your OOTD every night or decide when you ate getting dressed?
Bit of both, sometimes I'll plan to wear something and others ill just decide as I'm getting ready.

19. How often do you change your handbag?
Not often, usually when i get a handbag i stick with it until it breaks as I'm quite fussy with bags.

20. What time do you get up & go to sleep?
It varies, i don't have set times. I'll go to sleep when I'm tired or ill get up a different times in the morning depending on when I'm in work.

21. How often & when do you work out?
I used to work out three times a week but now it just depends on when i get time to.

22. Left handed or right handed?
I'm right handed.

23. How tall are you?
It's been a while since i last measured my height but i think I'm 5'7?

24. Do you speak a foreign language?
No i don't, but id love to.

25. How many pets do you have?
None, i really want a pug though.

26. How often are you on Blogger?
Everyday, id use the excuse that I'm doing a 365 challenge but id be on it anyways whether or not i was doing.

27. Do you read the comments posted on blogs?
I read every comment that is posted on my blog and sometimes i read them on other peoples too.

28. Do you keep a list of products to try as you see other posts?
I don't keep a physical list but i do keep a mental wishlist of things.

29. How did you come up with your blog name?
I got it from Alice in Wonderland, when i saw the Tim Burton version it was a line that the mad hatter said. I think it's in the book version too.

30. What kind of camera do you use for your photographs?
It's a bridge camera, it's an in between camera so it not quite an SLR but its bigger and has more features than a usual digital camera. I don't know the exact model but i know its a fujifilm one.

31. How often do you clean your house?
My mum and sister do most of the cleaning in the house - i focus mostly on my room which i generally tidy up parts on a day to day basis but i give it a proper clean every few weeks when it starts to get on my nerves.

32. What is your favorite color?
It varies to be honest, at the moment I'm really liking navy blue.

33. What is your favorite beauty/fashion magazine?
Glamour Magazine, that's the only one i mainly read.

34. Do you swear?
Unfortunately, I'm trying not to do it anymore (easier said that done)

35. What are you doing with the rest of your day?
Well by the time this post is live i will be going out, catching up with a really good friend of mine!

Have a nice weekend!

262. Review | Essence Stay Matte Lip Creams

 photo DSCF6647_zps071af114.jpg

 photo DSCF6652_zpse10581ce.jpg

 photo DSCF3597_zps1b7d380d.jpg

It's becoming quite apparent to me that i am somewhat of a lip product junkie but not only that i have a habit of buying them in bright and bold colours which get worn less frequently than if i went for a more sensible everyday colour. I picked up these Essence Stay Matte Lip Creams whilst i was in Rome; similarly to the other bright and bold colours that i picked up these haven't been worn all that much, mostly just me trying them on around the house and debating whether i should wear them or not.

I'm actually quite surprised at the quality of these; even though they have a matte finish they have a creamy formula, its not drying but instead are quite moisturising on the lips and it's so pleasant to wear. They also have a really good colour pay off which is really impressive as these were really affordable - i can't remember the exact price of these but i know i paid less that 5euros for one.

 photo DSCF6655_zps72782244.jpg

 photo DSCF8312_zps1ecbd50a.jpg

Smooth Berry
This is a gorgeous colour; Its a very bold shade but it's a muted shade of pink so its not a 'bright' colour - i hope that description makes sense. It's a beautiful colour and although i own a lot of pinks in my collection i don't have any that are like this, most of them are either very natural or bright, none of them are muted like this one is and none of them are matte either.

 photo DSCF6660_zps9833f5f8.jpg

 photo DSCF8318_zps1909c2c1.jpg

Silky Red
This is true ruby red shade and it's so pretty, i seem to be drawn to red shades, one person does not need the amount of red lip products like i have - oh the woes of being a beauty addict. The only other matte red lip product i have is Mac Ruby Woo but i think i might actually prefer this one to that as this is much more moisturising to wear, although i do still love my Mac Lipstick.

I do really like these lip products, normally I'm not a big an of matte lipsticks as i can sometimes find them quite drying and just generally unflattering but these are a really nice formula even if they don't get worn half as much as they deserve i do really like them!

What's lipsticks have you been wearing lately?

261. Wishlist

I'm owed quite a bit of overtime when i next get paid so i am going to go shopping; i want to get some new clothes, things that are a little more appropriate for the Autumn/Winter seasons and theres a couple of beauty things I've got my eye on too. I've been doing some browsing online at some of the things I've got my eye on, so i thought id share them with you!

1. ASOS Skater Dress In Mesh With Contrast Detail and Short Sleeves |  £22.00
I adore this dress and it's actually already on it's way to me - this is actually a maternity dress and before you comment, no I'm not pregnant. I've bought from maternity clothing a couple of times before as the clothes are suitable for people who aren't pregnant as well, its just that they are made to be more comfortable and to adapt better for a growing bump. I don't really now how to explain this without sounding like I'm making an excuse for it. But yeah, its a really pretty dress and i like it.

2. High Waisted Supersoft Skinny Jeans | £22.99
I love high waisted jeans i find them really flattering for my figure and I've had a pair from New Look before and i loved them and my current jeans are on the verge of death so I'm going to get a new pair ready for the colder months.

3. Zara Office City Bag | £49.99
Yes, I'm still pining over this bag. I really really want it and i always have ever since i saw it creep up on blogs but I've never paid so much for a bag before and i just can't bring myself to do it, but I'm thinking this month may be the month.

4. Extra Wide Fit Brown Elastic Back Buckle Boots | £24.99
I have a tendency to buy ankle boots but this year I'm feeling a change, i want some boots that come up under my knee instead. I think these will look so cute with jeans and with dresses and tights, they'll be comfortable and warm which is definitely a must for autumn/winter!

5. G21 Collar Dress | £16.00
I'm a little obsessed with peter pan collar dresses and i think this is such a pretty dress - this is such a lovely simple party dress but its also one that you could dress down with boots and a big cardigan.

1. Tangle Teezer Purple Pink | £10.99
I'm yet to try one of these out and i don't know why I'm taking so long to try one - My hair gets tangled quite easily especially after I've washed it and i think this would be really helpful.

2. Freshskin By Elemis Skin Glow Exfoliating Face Wash | £12.00
I used a sample of this and it really made a difference to my skin so i really want to get the full size as i really miss it and my skin does too. Normally i would be a bit iffy about paying so much for a face wash but i really loved the sample.

3. Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation | £32.00
I've heard so many positive things about this foundation and i'm really considering treating myself to it, I've never owned anything from Chanel before and I'm looking to get a new foundation so maybe ill just go a little wild and get this one!

4. Maybelline Falsies Mascara | £7.99
I'm always hearing bloggers and vloggers go on about this mascara - especially Tanya Burr she's always raving about it. I don't exactly need another mascara but when as that ever stopped anyone? I'm intrigued to see if this lives up to the hype that it has.

5. MUA Matte Palette | £4.00
I really do not need another palette, but i just love the look of this one. I love the range of shades and i just think it would be perfect for autumn and winter as it has some lovely neutrals, browns and even purply/plummy shades.

6. Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer | £3.99
I tried a sample of this a little while ago and i really liked it and for some reason never went on to by the full size so i think I'm gonna have to change that because it felt really nice on and it's a moisturiser and primer in one!

Honestly, I'll probably end up with a million and one different things to the ones i actually want as that is what i normally do. I can not wait to go shopping, especially for clothes as I'm currently feeling very uninspired by my wardrobe and i hate that. If i get the time i may do haul video, if not ill definitely do a post on everything that i buy.

What's on your wishlist?

260. FOTD | Feat. Shaka Full Colour Lipgloss in Angel Rose

 photo DSCF8357_zps8a7a10da.jpg
What is going on with this hand? Really
 photo DSCF8346_zps40d3c073.jpg

This is the make up i wore yesterday, i had a couple of errands to run and then a shift at work so i kept my make-up very natural and simple.

I started by applying Osiris BB Cream in light all over the face, this is a new addition to my make-up collection and so far I'm really liking using it. I then groomed my eyebrows and filled in the brows using the shade 'Ash Brown' from the HD Brows Kit in Foxy and set them in place with MUA Clear Mascara, using it as a brow gel.

I primed my eyes with Urban Decay Primer Potion and created a very neutral eye look using MUA Undressed Eyeshadow Palette - i took 'Shade 1' and applied it all over the lid, and lightly patted 'Shade 2' on top to add a little bit of shimmer, i then used 'Shade 10' and pressed it into my lash line to create a very natural eyeliner - I've been loving wearing this kind of look lately as its so easy and natural to wear. After I'd finished with the eyeshadow i curled my lashes and applied Kiko 30 Days Daily Lash Treatment Mascara.

I concealed under my eyes using Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer in Ivory and set it in place with Benefit Hello Flawless Custom Cover Up Face Powder in Gee, I'm Swell Ivory* and add a sweep of Nyx Blush in Summer Peach to the cheeks. To finish i applied Shaka Full Colour Lipgloss in Angel Rose to the lips and that's the look done!

I wanted the make-up look to be very simple and natural and i really like the outcome, i hope you do too!
