Maybelline Colour Tattoos (Pink Gold & Metallic Pomegranate)

Maybelline Colour Tattoos (Pink Gold & Metallic Pomegranate)

Just before Christmas i took advantage of the 3 for 2 offer that Maybelline had on in Boots and i picked up these two Maybelline Colour Tattoos as i was constantly seeing them popping up on blogs and well just look at them the colours are absolutely gorgeous.

I had no doubt in my mind whatsoever about the quality of these products because i already own the shade 'On and On Bronze' and i love it - since buying these I've gotten this one back out of my collection and fallen back in love with.

Its such an amazing everyday shade and they are so creamy and they just glide onto the lids so easily, i like to apply these with my fingers and then blend out with a big fluffy brush. They are so pigmented, they don't crease and they are so long lasting - they are just amazing products. Pink Gold and Metallic Pomegranate are no different from 'On and On Bronze' in terms of quality as they are just as lovely and creamy too.

Pink Gold is a gorgeous pink champagne kind of shade - it reminds me a little bit of Urban Decay 'Sin' but in a cream eyeshadow form. Obviously, it's quite shimmery (i think all of the shades are) but because it has a golden tone in it it makes it a lot more wearable and not a garish looking pink, this is such a beautiful shade to wear alone and i think this will be a product ill get the most use out of in spring/summer!

Metallic Pomegranate is also a gorgeous colour, its a deep cranberry/burgundy kind of shade and it has a hint of gold running through it - this is the perfect autumn shade and i love wearing this alone on the lid for a darker pop of colour on the eye - i do try wearing this in the crease but i personally find it difficult to blend cream eyeshadows together, i blended this into the crease once with On and On Bronze on the lid and it didn't quite turn out how i expected but i find that that happens with most cream products so i think its more me than it is them?

Maybelline Colour Tattoos (Pink Gold & Metallic Pomegranate)

I really rate the Maybelline Colour Tattoos, they are a great alternative to the Mac Paint Pots - the only thing i would say it is that i would love to see more matte shades in them but other than that they're brilliant products.

Have you tried the Maybelline Colour Tattoos? What's your favourite shade?

  2. I love the colour tattoos, I have three shades (two of them being On and On Bronze & Pink Gold) but quite fancy Metallic Pomegranate too! I find it a bit difficult to blend cream shadows together too so tend to use one as my base colour or highlight then use powders for the other shades x

  3. I've tried these but I wasn't that impressed. I've only used them as a base though, not a stand alone shadow.
    Great review!

  4. I absolutely love these, I'm stating to like my mac paint pots a little more though as the colours are more day time appropriate and as you said, there are many more matte colours.
However the colour tattoo's are superb products and I'd be lost without them in my collection! Pink gold is my favourite I think :)
