Love Me Beauty (Edition One ) | February

Firstly, before i even start on this most i just want to mention that I'm aware these photos scream gloomy lighting, but if you are in the UK right now you'll know just how miserable the weather has been lately and getting photos has been quite a challenge so these will just have to do. I'm normally a bit lover of Autumn/Winter but I'm so tired of being cold and I'm really starting to miss Spring time.

Love Me Beauty (Edition One ) | February

Love Me Beauty (Edition One ) | February

Onto the box, first of all when i saw what was in this box i honestly wasn't interested and did plan to skip a month like I'd been told you could do (has this changed?) but they took a payment anyway so i figured i might as well order a box anyway seeing as id been charged for one. After much deliberation i settled on edition number one!

Also, because February is the month of Valentines Day; they included a mystery product now i read a few posts from bloggers who had received their box and the mystery product was an Art Deco lip product so this made me quite excited for the box, but did i get this? No, i get the impression that all the first orders got the Art Deco product and the late orders just got anything else - i may be wrong but that's how it looks to me, because every post i read included that product.

Percy & Reed No-Fuss Flawlessness Dry Conditioner - Full Size (RRP £12)
Ive tried a few things from Percy & Reed before so this was a product i was interested in trying as I've never been disappointed by them before. I will say that i don't quite understand the purpose of a Dry Conditioner - is it a texture spray or is it like a dry shampoo? Can someone explain it to me? The little card that comes with the box says it 'Gives your hair a healthy softness and shine without the H20... It reduces damage caused by brushing as well as adding a gorgeous glossy shine to even very dry hair' To me this just sounds like a shine spray but i shall give it a go and see what its like.

La Claree Smooth Day Face Care - 7ml Sample (50ml RRP £28)
This is described as 'a moisturised that nourishes the skin and optimizes the production of collagen. Smoothing and firming, it prevents the signs of ageing. Its active ingredients sooth the skin, restore softness and radiance leaving the skin durably revitalised and protected' I must say i wasn't all that interested in this when i saw it but after reading the card i am quite intrigued to see what its like. Normally, products that mention anti-ageing make me want to run a mile because at 22 i don't really want to feel that its something i need to start thinking about but i guess the earlier the better.

Bakewell Soap Company Multi Purpose Pocket Balm in 'May Chang' - Full Size (RRP £3.95)
Again, i saw this and just wasn't impressed i already own a few multi purpose balms that I've barely used and didn't want to add another to the mix. When i opened this, the scent hits you in the face and oh my it smells amazing, it's got quite a citrus-y scent but it reminds me a little bit of Lush so I've already popped this in my handbag to carry around with me and hopefully i find ways to use it. It says that this provides 'Soothing hydration for lips, hands, nails and body. With oils rich in omega 3 and 6 and packed with vitamins and anti inflammatories its perfect for moisturising on the go. 'May Chang' contains a astringent of citrus oils that help repair and tone dry and damaged skin'

Inner Me Beautify Vitamin Complex - Full Size (RRP £15)
This was another product that sparked my interest as I've never taken vitamins like these before. 'These are InnerMe's ultimate beauty supplement for skin, hair and nails. They believe that health and beauty begin within so they help maintain your inner you with seven nutrients together with a balanced combination of Marine Collagen, MSM and Silica' I don't know how much i believe vitamins like these can make such a difference, a part of me thinks these are going to be quite a gimmicky kind of item but I'm going to give them a go and see if they make a difference, there is only two weeks supply and it doesn't mention how long it takes to take effect but I'll give them a go and i may do a blog post on them and let you know if i think they are any good or not so let me know if you'd like that.

& the Mystery Product

Murad Age Reform Osmolyte Tonic - (RRP £8.96)
I don't know if this is the full size or but i think it might be. I'm still a little bitter that i got this instead of the Art Deco Lip Product but I'm going to have an open mind on this product anyways as it is face mist that offers the skin a hydration boost and I'm always trying to find ways to keep my skin feeling as hydrated as possible. A website describes it as 'a super refreshing mist that works to replenish and plump the skin to give a more firm and toned appearance, this spray will give you quick, noticeable results. It's suitable for all skin types, the patent formula also works to soothe and nourish, with Camomile and Green Tea Extracts combined with Sodium PCA to give gentle but effective action. You'll be left with a brighter complexion and softer, smoother skin' so I'm going to give it a go and we'll see how i get on with it.

and that is everything i got in this months Love Me Beauty box; i know it may seem like I'm moaning a lot throughout this post but i just feel like they don't really explain themselves very much nor is the website very helpful - like i was informed you could skip a month if you didn't want a box and yet they charged me anyways, so that is what has inflicted a bit of a negative tone. Regardless of that, there is some interesting product in this box and i will definitely give them all a try - let me know if there are any items in particular you'd like to see a full review on!

What do you think of this months box?

  1. I skipped mine this month - I'm a little tempted by the soap I guess but I own so many lovely smelling products already.
