Monthly Favourites | February

Monthly Favourites | February

I'm kind of giving up using the whole 'oh ma gawd, it's the end of the month already' starts to these posts as i feel i do it every month and well I'm starting to sound like a bit of a broken record. The new monthly favourites format seemed to go down pretty well last month, which I'm really glad about as i really loved how that post turned out so I'm definitely going to stick to doing it the same way for the foreseeable future.

Beauty Favourites:

Urban Decay Naked Palette
I rekindled my love for the Original Naked Palette during the month of February and i forgot just how much i love it, its always been one of my favourites but with having so many palettes it sometimes gets pushed aside whilst I'm trying others but Ive given this my whole attention this month and Ive just loved using it. It's such a versatile palette and you can create so many different looks, the quality is fantastic and Ive really enjoyed having this back in my routine.

YSL Youth Liberator Serum Foundation
I just love this foundation and in between testing out others I've found myself always reaching back to this one, this is my go to foundation for nights out and special occasions because it has no SPF in it so it's a good on for photographs, as well as that it's just a brilliant foundation - it's a much higher coverage than i normally go for but i actually really like it, it still gives me a really natural and flawless finish. Not to mention this foundation bottle is so beautiful!

Tanya Burr Eye Candy Lipglosses
I've really been enjoying using these Lipglosses by Tanya Burr - my favourite shade is definitely 'Vampire Kiss' but I've also been getting a lot of use out of 'Afternoon Tea' and 'Picnic in the Park' as they are such wearable colours and the colour pay off on these are ridiculously good. I still stand by what i said in my original review that these have a slightly sticky formula but its not so bad that i can't wear them, it actually doesn't put me off the way it sometimes can.

Etude House Water Colour Blush in Coral
This is such a beautiful blush and I've been wearing it on near enough a daily basis; it's a cream blush which sometimes can sometimes be a little intimidating but this is so easy to apply and once blended out it leaves a really beautiful flush of colour to the cheeks. With this a little really does go a long way but it is definitely buildable so you can build the colour to your preferred intensity, i like it quite natural so it just gives a hint of colour. I opted for coral as i think it will the perfect shade and product for spring/summer and i know i will definitely get a lot of use out of it over those seasons!

Elemis Freshskin Skin Glow Exfoliating Face Wash
I adore this product; it's really gentle and creamy but it exfoliates the skin really well and after every use my skin feels so clean and refreshed. It is a little on the steeper side for a scrub but it works really well for me. You can use this a face wash, but i prefer using it every couple of days as a face scrub instead - i love the results this gives and it smells incredible too!

Non-Beauty Favourites:
The non-beauty favourites this month aren't really items or products just more things that have happened this month:

Britains Got Talent
I had tickets to be in the audience of Britain's Got Talent Auditions in Manchester which was awesome - it was so strange to be sat in the same room as the likes of Simon Cowell and Ant 'n' Dec! I had a really fun day and it was great to catch up with one of my friends, we saw some amazing and also some seriously terrible auditions too - also, the buzzers are louder than you would expect like every time a judge pushed one it made me jump because it was insanely loud.

Paying off some of my Overdraft
I paid a massive chunk off my overdraft and whilst i hated wasting so much money on it, it feels so good to know i only have a little bit left to pay and its gone forever - it was the worst thing i ever did getting one (although, it helped me out a lot when i got it) and it was such a good feeling knowing that I've almost paid it all off especially after putting it off for so long!

Reconnecting with Old Friends
I got back speaking to a friend of mine who i hadn't really spoken to in a while and it's been awesome reconnecting and catching up with her properly, these past few weeks have been an absolute blast and i feel like we are getting on the best we ever have and i just love it. I really hope we continue this way because its been awesome having her back in my life and i genuinely don't think I've ever laughed as much as i have lately nor have i been as drunk - which leads me on to my next things!

Nights Out (til 5am)
Since reconnecting with my friend; we've been going out a lot whether it be shopping, for tea or to do a pub quiz and a few times its resulted in us going out and getting home at 5am. As they are often really last minute nights out they always end up being the best ones, I'm not usually that much of a drinker and when I've been on nights out in the past i get bored or tired by like 2:30am but these past few times I've been out drinking and  dancing the night away and i don't even realise how late it is until we are sat in maccies at the end of the night and its approaching 5am. --Obviously, I'm not trying to promote drinking; id highly recommend you to drink responsibly and only if you are of the legal age! (which, for the record i am)

Music Favourite:

A Great Big World Feat Christina Aguilera - Say Something
I first heard this on the radio in work and i thought it was such a lovely song, its almost quite haunting to listen to but I've been obsessed with it since i first heard it. I think it's such a beautiful song and the lyrics are quite relatable, at least i feel like this are and i just love it. Ive listened to it nearly all month and i still can't get enough!

So those are my favourites for this month. February has been a really great month for me and i feel the happiest I've felt in a really long time and it feels really great, so heres hoping that March continues to be just as great and i really hope February has treated you all really well!

What are some of your monthly favourites?
