North West Bloggers Event | Liverpool

Yesterday i attended the Northwest Bloggers Liverpool Event (#nwblpool) at the Hard Days Night Hotel put together and hosted by the lovely Hannah.

I originally wasn't sure whether i was going to go or not because i don't really have many 'blogger friends' to go to events with and i hated the idea of being on my own because I'm quite socially awkward (seriously, i lack social skills) but i decided to take the plunge this time because i always put myself off going and i really want to start going to more events. I'm really grateful to Callie Rose, Fran, Amy, Rachel, Naffy (I'm really sorry if I've missed anyone) for meeting up with me beforehand and basically letting me tag along with their little group, they were such lovely girls and it was really nice hanging out with them and meeting them as I've followed their blogs for ages.

I was kind of a terrible blogger as i don't feel like i got enough photos - i got a some of the stalls that were there but not enough of the people so I'm sorry about that! Also, the photos aren't the best lighting wise but i hope they're okay anyways!

There were some stall sets up by a variety of brands there which was really nice as it gave us a chance to sample out some product and also to speak to some of the people from the brands their too. Thee was a range of people including Lush, St Moritz, Skincerity, Fashion Zoo, Tear Drop Designs and so many others.

I'd normally stay away from the likes of fake tan brands because i personally have not used fake tan and I've never really been keen on trying it. However, i had a little chat with one of the ladies there and she was really lovely (I'm sorry i didn't get your name) She very kindly gave me a set to try out as they are running a little competition called #giveitaglow aimed at getting people like me to give tanning a go for the first time and you can be in with the chance of winning £30 worth of Asos Vouchers. As i said i normally would even think about venturing near the stuff but I'm definitely going to give this a go and see how i get on with it as the little kit has all you need to for prepping and maintainin a tan so i will definitely do a post when i get round to it!

There was other stands showcasing Jewellery - Tear Drop Designs and Fashion Zoo; they both had really beautiful items on display and i love how different each brand was, one focus more on statement collar pieces and the other on more intricate designs - they both had really beautiful pieces.

Of course, my personal favourite stall was Lush - even though I'm very familiar with the brand and their products it just hooks me in every time. They were displaying some of the face masks and cleansers as well as their mothers day range. There was also a lovely make-up artist showing the Lush Emotional Brilliance make up range and explain how it all works which was really interesting.

There was also a raffle which as you can see from the photo above was filled with some pretty amazing items. All the winners were tweeted if they had won which i think was quite a unique way of doing it. I was lucky enough to win a prize on the raffle and found myself coming home with a Clarisonic Aria - which i still can't quite believe, I'm super excited to try this out and i will definitely be doing a review on it.

Hannah well and truly spoiled us because if the raffle prizes weren't impressive enough, we we're all really lucky to receive a goody bag that was bulging with goodies, i still can't quite get over it. Events like this make me feel really happy and privileged to be a blogger and i feel so fortunate to get to go to events like this and meet other bloggers who have this same interest as me. I always feel like events always give me a little kick up the bum too as i leave feeling really inspired and wanting to really work and improve my blog.

I just want to say thanks to all the bloggers i met and spoke to and I'm sorry i didn't get to speak to a lot of the people that were there too. I just want to say congratulations to Hannah on the success of her first event, it was a really lovely day and I'm so glad i decided to come a long. I can't wait to see what her next event brings!

I also thought I'd include a photo of the make up i wore, if anyone is interested in seeing it

  6. I wanted to attend the event, but was travelling back from a wedding on Sunday. Looks great, gutted I missed out! Not sure I would have been brave enough to attend on my own though.
