Tom Pellereau's Stylfile

Tom Pellereau's Stylfile

When it comes to my nails i don't always take the best care of them; my job is very hands on so i find my nails are always breaking and nail polish is always chipping so i kind of just give up doing with them because its just going to happen again and again. I'd normally avoid nail files because i hate the feel of them and the sound of it grating against my nails really goes through me, it literally makes me shudder not only that but whenever i use them i find them quite awkward to use and often end up filing to much on one side of the nail than the other and it generally just doesn't end well.

Ever since i first saw the Stylfile* I've been intrigued by them but i avoided trying them out due to my dislike of nail files - i was unsure as to how this would be any different but I was lucky to receive two Stylfiles in the goody bag i got from the North West Bloggers Event in Liverpool so i decided to give them a go and i thought id share my thoughts with you.

If you're not sure what the Stylfiles are; they were invented by Tom Pellereau who was the winner of the Apprentice in 2011. They are unique curved 'S' shaped nail files that follow the natural curve of the nail, each side of the nail file has a different 'high quality' abrasive sides that help to file, shape and smooth the nails - the innovative design of the file makes is much easier to use against the nails because it follows their natural shape.

I always have quite short nails and they've always struggled to grow long because i used to a nail biter, due to this my nails are quite weak and often break or snap when any sign of growth happens so they are often ragged looking and uneven which isn't very attractive but using the Stylfile has made it so much each to file and shape my nails. It so quick and easy to use and its amazing the difference in using a typical nail file to this one, as the 's' shape really does make a difference in the way you file your nails, there is less risk of filing one side down more than the other because you can control the shape much more with the Stylfile. I'm rather impressed with it and I've found myself wanting to take better care with shaping my nails because its much easier to do with the Stylfile.

I really love the little 'Emergency File' that i received as well it's such a handy little size and it has now taken residence in my handbag so i always have it with me on the go.

I'll be blunt and say i still hate the sound and the feeling of nail files against my nails but i think that's more me than the product, I'm really grateful to have gotten the opportunity to try these and had i known how much id have liked the product i definitely would have picked one up sooner because my nails are looking so much neater as the stylfile has made it much easier for me to control how i shape my nails.

Have you tried the Stylfiles?
