Latest in Beauty | Glamour Summer Edit

Ive seen various editions of these boxes floating around and they always intrigued me but theres been a few times I've seen products in there i already owned and it seemed a bit silly getting them again - this time around i saw Gemma from Miss Make Up Magpie post a tweeting a photo that she had gotten hers and after seeing the contents, i just couldn't resist. Considering you get £86 worth of products, it's quite a bargain at £16.95 (inc p&p)

Magnifibres Brush-On False Lashes | RRP £16.00
Anything that promises to give you lovely long lashes without having to mess around with false ones, instantly intrigues me and this is exactly what this product claims to do. I'm certain I've read a review on this before and it was some kind of wonder product so I'm very intrigued to try this out and see what it does for my lashes - i will definitely be reviewing this on my blog!

Crabtree & Evelyn Nail Lacquer in Apple | RRP £6.00
This colour is one that i would have selected myself if i buying it myself; i adore red polishes and have gathered quite a collection - this one is a shimmery red and whilst there's no denying this is a beautiful shade, i kind of wish it was something different as i have so many that are similar. Ive never tried Crabtree & Evelyn before so I'm interested in seeing what their products are like so i will definitely give this a go.

Rimmel Sun Shimmer Instant Tan BB Skin Perfector | RRP £6.99
I'm not much of a fake tan person at all, I'm always keen to try them but i worry to much that ill mess it up and end up resembling a Oompa Loompa and they always seems like such a faff to apply and develop. I'm not sure whether ill actually try this to be honest, i may just end up giving it to my mum because i know for a fact she'll definitely use it but we shall see.

Velvotan The Original Tanning Mitt | RRP £2.99
Whether i use this depends on whether or not i end up trying the Rimmel Instant Tan - this may also end up being gifted to my mum.

Bourjois Cream Blush in Nude Velvet | RRP £7.99
I've never tried a Bourjois Blush before so I'm looking forward to testing this out; i also think this is a really gorgeous natural colour and i think it'll be ideal for those days you're going for a really natural make up look and you just want a hint of colour on the cheeks - I'm making this assumption looking at the pan, chances are the shade won't be the same as they rarely are. It claims to have a cream to powder formulations which i absolutely love so I'm really hoping this doesn't disappoint.

Toni & Guy Volume Plumping Whip | RRP £7.19
I'm not really sure how i feel about this product; i have tried so many different hair products that claim to give volume and really don't that i don't really have high expectations for them anymore. It claims to give you 'smooth, super sized hair without that crunchy feel' so I'll definitely give it a try as who knows maybe this might be that one product to change my mind!

Hawaiian Tropic Satin Protection Ultra Radiance Sun Lotion SPF30 | RRP £6.98
I'd have been disappointed not to have seen a sun lotion in this considering it's a 'summer edition' - i actually don't think I've tried anything from Hawaiian Tropic so I'm looking forward to trying it out, it's come at perfect time as the weather is starting to get much warmer and the other sun lotion i own is quite thick and i don't enjoy applying it too much so hopefully this will be much better.

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil Mini | RRP £4.50
I have actually used one of these before so this is definitely a welcome addition to the box as it's a really lovely product. I'm a big fan of cleansing oils they make removing make up so easy and effortless, even really stubborn products so I'm glad to have another one of these to use!

Illamasqua Glamoure Lipstick in Starkers | RRP £18.50
This is the one product that really made me want the box but also the one product that I'm actually a little disappointed in. I was aware that this is a brand new range of lipsticks from Illamasqua but didn't pay attention that its a nude range - I'm stupid, i know but the photo shows a red lipstick so i thought maybe that was the shade that was on offer here. Instead, i got the shade Starkers which is a brown toned nude, a colour that i would never reach for as i just don't think it's something i suit. I'm still going to try it out and see what it's like and whether i suit it or not but i really wish it had a been more of a pink toned nude or the red shade that is on the photo.

Overall, i am happy with the box even though it is quite a different mix of products - I'm looking forward to trying most of them out and I will definitely be doing reviews on some of the items!

  1. This is one of the best beauty boxes I have seen. Its jam packed with beauty must haves. I really like the DHC Cleansing Oil & always have a few of the mini sizes for holidays. The Bourjois Cream Blushes are great for Summer. So many lovely treats in one box
