Chanel Vitalumière Aqua Foundation

Chanel Vitalumière Aqua Foundation

I have coveted the Chanel Vitalumière Aqua Foundation for so long - I'm always hearing so many amazing things about it from bloggers and youtubers. The more i heard about it, the more i wanted it so when i had some vouchers recently i decided it was time it became mine.

I love treating myself to high-end foundations but i rarely enjoy the experience of being matched to foundations at counters as i often feel judged and sometimes a little pressured but thankfully, this experience was really nice.

The lady who matched the foundation to my skin and served me was absolutely lovely and she didn't make me feel pressured into trying or buying any other products. Also when she tested out two foundations on my chin to see which shade suited me better, she asked for my opinion to see which i preferred and i really liked that. Ive been matched to foundations as other counters and they've just declared which shade it is and I've sometimes felt slightly pressured into agreeing with them.

The packaging for this is just as gorgeous and luxurious as you imagine Chanel would be. The bottle is a lot smaller than most foundations but it's tiny size makes it the perfect travelling companion as it's so compact and portable. I usually prefer my foundations to have a pump and normally when they don't have pumps it's really bothers me but the squeezy top on this is actually really good - it only dispenses a nice small amount so no product is wasted.

The Chanel Vitalumière Aqua Foundation retails for £33 which is definitely on the pricier side - looking at the size of the bottle it does feel a little bit like its been overpriced but this foundation is so amazing that i personally think it is worth every penny.

Before using it; you have to give it a good shake - as it's a water based foundation it, not shaking it will make it come out quite watery which you don't want. So shaking it before use mixes the product together to get the proper formula. The foundation itself is extremely light which is something i really like it, it does mean it has a very light coverage but as its a really buildable foundation you can layer it up and apply more to get the extra coverage needed without it becoming too thick or cakey. The coverage is perfect for me as any extra blemishes i have i go over with a concealer.

For me, this foundation is perfect. I'd almost go as far as saying it may be becoming my 'Holy Grail' foundation - yes, big statement but it has the perfect weight and coverage for me, it blends out so effortlessly and it leaves my skin looking quite flawless. This is the first foundation I've used and actually thought 'wow, my skin looks good!' and trust me, it's not often a foundation has made me think that. It lasts on me all day, i do apply powder over the top as well to remove any shine and to help set it in place but in general it does last really well.

If you haven't already noticed - i adore this foundation and I'm so happy i finally treated myself to it. £33 may seem like a lot of money but this is with every single penny. If this is a foundation you are interested in treating yourself too I'd highly recommend it.

Have you tried the Chanel Vitalumière Aqua Foundation?
