Monthly Favourites | August

It baffles me a great deal that we are already heading into September - how is that possible? It literally doesn't seem like 5 minutes since this year was beginning and now shops are already preparing for Christmas, it's just insane. Anyways, this month has been a good month for discovering new products - i went a little online shopping mad last month so I've been testing all those products out and i've found some new favourites.

Beauty Favourites:

Soap & Glory For Daily Youth 6 in 1 Moisture Lotion
I'm a big fan of Soap & Glory but I've never really tried their skincare range and I'm so glad i decided to pick this up because it is honestly one of the nicest face moisturisers i have ever used. It gives the skin a really nice lift and boost of energy. It's designed to protect, whilst hydrating and repairing the skin - it's really light and sinks into the skin really easily and it creates a really soft base ready for your make up. It also smells incredible.

Kiss A Fresh Look Blemish Balm
I've technically only had this for a week but I'm so impressed with it that I've worn it pretty much everyday since i got it and i just had to include it into this months favourites. It's part of Wilkinson's new 'Kiss' range and considering how cheap it is, it is pretty damn good. I've applied it with both my fingers and with the RT Expert Face Brush and i love the flawless finish you get from both, it just applies so nicely. It's quite a light coverage but i personally find that's enough for me - i layer concealer on top if i need any extra coverage on blemishes or under my eyes. I'm so impressed with this BB Cream - definitely one to check out if you're looking for something that is very budget friendly.

Mac Lipstick in Creme Cup
This is an old favourite of mine - in fact it's possible one of my all-time favourite lipsticks. This month its been one of the only lipsticks I've found myself gravitating towards. It's the one shade I'd recommend everyone to have in their make up collection as it's such a staple product. It's a perfect pink nude - it's ideal to wear for both everyday or for special occasions/evenings out. This is one lipstick i think i will always repurchase to have in my collection.

Kiss Lip Service Apricot Lip Scrub
I've been after a lip scrub for a while and whilst i love Lush's offerings i wanted a much cheaper alternative. This is another product from Wilkinson's 'Kiss' range and it's really nice, it works the same way as any lip scrub - you massage it into the lips to exfoliate and remove any dead skin and it leaves them feeling really soft. This one is apricot so it smells really nice and fruity.

Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter
I had an absolute nightmare trying to get hold of this product but i have to say it was most definitely worth the wait. You only need the smallest amount of this and you massage it into your face and it literally just melts away your make up - it's made taking my make up off so much easier and i find myself being less lazy too, some nights i really can't be bothered so ill resort to just using micellar water or just a make up wipe but since using this i've made a conscious effort to remove my make up, even when I'm strolling in from a night out at silly o'clock in the morning I'll use this because it's just so easy and it literally takes me about a minute.

Essence Lashes Go Wild Volume Mascara*
This mascara really surprised me at how much i like it - i picked it up mainly because i was drawn to it because of the tube shaped packaging but it's actually really good; it makes my lashes look really full and volumised whilst adding length to them as well. I love how it makes my lashes look and i really like how the brush coats the lashes evenly and separates them. This mascara is also really cheap too.

Beyonce Heat The Mrs Carter Show World Tour Limited Edition
I'm not very good at describing scents at all; I'd say this is quite a floral scent but it has something extra in it that makes it different to the usual floral scents you find, it's almost a little musky but in a really good way. (Worst description ever) I'd honestly suggest going out and smelling it to get a better idea of what i mean as it really is a nice perfume. I picked this up on a complete whim as my other perfumes are starting to run really low and i don't want to use them fully up just yet and its been my go to scent this month - it's so nice and it has a lovely bottle too.

Magnifibres Brush on Lashes
This is one of those products that i wasn't so sure if i believed it would actually work well and at first it didn't but the more and more I've used it and experimented with it, and used it with different mascaras I've really grown to love it. I find you can achieve different results wit it depending on what mascara you use. It doesn't give me insanely long lashes but it does give me that extra volume and length that i can't get without false lashes. It's so easy to use and i really love how my lashes look after I've used it, this may just replace any need i ever have for false lashes - ill be doing a full review on this soon.

Bourjois Cream Blush in Nude Velvet
This is the very first blush I've ever tried from Bourjois and it definitely hasn't disappointed. It's a cream blush but to me it feels like it has a cream to powder kind of finish - which i actually really like. It's so easy to apply and it looks so nice and natural once blended out. It's a really pretty corally peach colour and I've really been loving wearing this especially because the colour pay off is quite subtle but it still gives a nice hint of colour to your make up look.

Non- Beauty Favourites:

My Week Off
By the time my week off work came around it was much need unfortunately it was over far too quickly for my liking. Either way, it was just so nice to be able to chill out, catch up with friends, have late nights and not worry about getting up early and it was just really nice to have some time off.

Me and my friends go for a lot of drives - we don't go anywhere in particular we just drive around, play music and sing along to the best and sometimes the cheesiest songs and it's just so nice. I really like being in a car and i find it quite relaxing.

Red Pepper Hummus
I am seriously addicted to this stuff - i love it with crackers, it's so tasty. Ive been trying other flavours of hummus out and nothing quite compares to the Red Pepper, its just so nice. Writing about it, is really making me want some but I've ran out!!

Becky CJ Following Me on Twitter
I've followed Becky CJ for ages and she'sfollowed me on twitter and i can't lie i fangirled a lot.

Music Favourite:

Ed Sheeran - All of the Stars
This is one of the songs on The Fault in our Stars Soundtrack and it's so good. Ive just found myself listening to it on repeat, it has a really nice sound to it and I'm really like it at the moment.

Little Mix - Move
This is one of our go-to songs when we go for drives and it's so good to sing and dance along to. I think it's actually been out ages but its so good!

I've never included an un-favourite before but i thought it might be something i can include from time to time depending on whether i have an unfavourite. My unfavourite this month isn't actually a product or item; it's that my oldest friend Hannah is leaving for Australia on Saturday for 6 months (possibly longer) and whilst I'm insanely happy for her, she's been a big part of my life since i was 7 and I'm really going to miss her like crazy.

What are some things your have been loving or not loving this month?
