Essence CC Cream

Essence CC Cream

CC Creams have never been something that have really appealed to me so I've never really bothered to try them. Whilst i was at the Essence Launch i decided to pick one up the Essence All-In-One CC Cream* to try whilst i had the opportunity to do so.

Just to clarify, a CC Cream is a colour correcting base - similar to a BB cream but where BB Creams focus more on covering blemishes, CC Creams correct and even out your skin tone dealing with things like redness, hyper-pigmentation, dark spots and dark circles. The consistency of a CC Cream is very similar to a BB Cream. This CC Cream is very lightweight and it sinks into the skin without feeling heavy or looking cakey - something that i always look for in a base product.

I find it really easy to apply and blend out and it really does even out skin tone, i have a little redness on my chin and around my nose and this really does even out the skin tone and cover it up. This CC Cream has a slightly satin finish to it; i wouldn't say it leaves you looking dewy but it definitely gives the skin a slight healthy glow.

I was a little worried about the shade because i could only see the shade 'natural' but i decided to give it chance anyway and thankfully, it does actually suits my skin tone quite well. This product seems to only have the one shade which i think is very limiting. I tend to wear this CC cream on days I'm not doing much but i want an even skin tone and a little bit of coverage - It doesn't have an extremely high coverage but with a bit of concealer it's more than enough for me.

The Essence CC Cream is really good value for money retailing at £4.00.
Have you tried a CC Cream before?
