6 Make Up Staples | High End

6 Make Up Staples | High End

I post so many product reviews that apart from my monthly favourites and my top 5 series you don't often get to know what products i absolutely love and are must have staples in my make up collection. I've decided to split this into two posts my high end make up staples and my high street make up staples.

6 Make Up Staples | High End

Chanel Vita Lumiere Aqua Foundation
I've tried many foundations and whilst i really like a lot of them, i always comes back to this foundation. It's just so lovely and gives me such an amazing flawless finish. It has a water base so it's very light on the skin but its so easy to build up and layer if you need more coverage. It is a pricey foundation and it retails for £33 but i personally think it is worth every single penny and i will continue to have this in my collection for as long as it is sold.

Mac Paint Pot in Painterly
This was a product i didn't even know i needed until i had it. I won this in a giveaway over a year ago and i still love it and use it almost everyday. I mostly use this as a base for my eyeshadow as it evens out the colouring of the lid, it also helps the eyeshadow to stick and to prolong the wear. I sometimes i also wear this on it's own with liner and mascara.

Studio 10 Beauty Face Definer*
This palette does actually have a contour, blush and highlight in it but the only thing in this i consider to be a staple is the contour. It's a grey-toned contour so it's the perfect shade for creating shadows and definition because it looks much more natural. I've never been that great at contouring but i find this so much easier to use and i love the results i get from it. I honestly don't think i could be without it.

Urban Decay 'Naked' Palette
If I'm honest, i adore all the Urban Decay Naked Palettes but if i had to pick just one of them it would be the original Naked palette. It has 12 warm toned nude shades with a perfect range for creating both daytime and night time looks and there is a mixture of matte and shimmery shades too. They blend together so easily and last really well too. For me this is the perfect neutral eyeshadow palette staple.

Benefit They're Real Mascara
There are many mascaras that i love but this is the one that i go back to time after time. The length it adds to my lashes unreal and I've not quite achieve the same look with any other. I just love how it makes my lashes look and the brush is perfect for coating and separating the lashes.

Mac Lipstick in Creme Cup
If there is one Mac Lipstick shade i would recommend it would be this one. Creme Cup is the perfect 'pink nude' shade - it's so creamy and moisturising to wear and it's a great all round shade, it works for everyday wear but it's also compliments a bold eye look too.

Those are 6 of my make up staples; there are many products that i love but if it came to it these are the 6 high end products I'd hate to be without.

What are you high end staples?

  1. I really need to get myself creme cup! It's been on my wish list forever! And while I'm at it I might need the Naked 1 as well, I have the other 2 and convinced myself I didn't need the other... but it would be nice to complete the set, right?

  2. I'm so sad I can't try MAC lipsticks as I'm allergic to one of the ingredients. My bank balance is happier for it though, so that's a plus at least! I'm finding it really hard to find a contour that doesn't look too warm, so I'll have to give the Studio 10 Beauty Definer a try! The Dior Iconic Overcurl mascara & the YSL Rouge Volupte Shine lipsticks would definitely feature in my top 5 high end products. Xx
