I thought I'd share a mascara that I've really been enjoying using lately - the So Susan Flutter Mascara. I got this in the July Love Me Beauty Beauty Box and it has pleasantly surprised me.

I thought this was going to give me amazing massive lashes when i first used it but its actually very subtle, normally that would be something that really annoys me but their is something about this mascara that i really love. It has a typical mascara wand - there is nothing too fancy to the shape but it works really well. It separates the lashes nicely and adds length to it but it's really natural looking - it's unlike any mascara I've ever tried before but theres just something about it i really love and it makes a change from really full lashes coated in mascara (I do still love that though)

I do have one issue with this mascara though; it's a swine for transferring onto the skin, without fail every time i apply it, it ends up on my eyelids or under my eyes - which is such a pain. It is easy to remove but that's not the point and because of that I'd avoid using this if I'd spent ages doing some fancy eye look because I'd be so annoyed for it to smudge and ruin it.

That issue aside i do really like this mascara and i don't really know why - i just really enjoy the way it makes my lashes look, its like the perfect everyday natural mascara. It's not the cheapest mascara at £14.95 but i think i would actually pay that for it as i love the subtle results it gives and it lasts really well on my lashes too. This mascara definitely won't be for everyone but if you are someone who likes a little bit of length but likes to keep it really subtle and natural then this might be of interest to you.

Whats your current favourite mascara?

  1. I really like a mascara that is pretty basic and has a simple wand, this sounds great but I do struggle with mascaras transferring and smudging! ;(

    1. This is a pain for that because it's got quite a wet formula - it's the only downside to the mascara!

  2. I also received this mascara in my Love Me Beauty box amd I really don't like it, I found the formula to wet and the mascara brush doesn't thicken my lashes I find it makes them really seperated and thin looking.
I was disappointed with this product I'm sorry to say.

    1. The formula is definitely too wet - i agree with you there but other than that i really like, it's a shame you didn't get on with it the same!
