I was sent this a little while ago when Make Up Revolution very kindly sent me a few goodies (see here) To be honest, had i seen this in a shop i probably would have walked straight past it - the packaging is not to my taste as I'm personally not a fan of the 'moving' holographic type image, i generally don't like them as i personally think it makes things look quite cheap. It does however have a large mirror inside which is really handy and for £7.99 you do get good value for money as you get 36 eyeshadows in total. It has a wide variety of shades ranging from beige, browns and golds to blue, pink and orange so it has quite a mix of colours.

I'm not quite brave enough to venture into the brighter more colourful shades but i have been using the more neutral tones which are surprisingly quite good quality. They have decent colour pay off, they last well (i do wear a primer underneath) and they blend out really well too. You can create some really lovely colour combinations and whilst i may not use the brighter shades its good to know that the option is there. Photographing swatches isn't a strong point of mine and i figured rather than including a bunch of awful photos ill just swatch a selection of shades so that you get the rough idea of what they're like and the pigmentation too.

This palette is definitely worth looking at if you are after an affordable and good quality eyeshadow palette with a wide range of shades. As i mentioned for me the brighter shades probably won't get as much use but they are handy to have for the likes of fancy dress or if i ever feel daring enough to wear a bright eye look. The neutral selection however is really lovely and I've created some really lovely eye looks with it.

Have you tried the I Heart Make Up Geek Palette?
