Make Up Clear Out | Give and Make Up

I don't know about you but since I've been blogging I've built up quite a large make up collection; i have some Muji drawers and a acrylic organiser that houses just my 'everyday items' and once a month i try to rotate the products in it so that I'm getting a good amount of use of all the other make up in my collection too. However, on the occasions when I'm deciding what products to switch in and out it can sometimes be somewhat overwhelming.

Whilst i do use the vast majority of my make up, their are some items that i continually neglect and it makes me sad to see them go so unloved so i decided to have a little clear out - I've sorted two little goody bags that I'm going to give to some friends but the rest of the products I've decided to donate to Give and Make Up.

For those of you that don't know - Give and Make Up is a non profit initiative that's main purpose is to get everyday essentials into the hands of women and children who need them most. It's supports Women's Aid, Refuge and now CRI - which are all charities based around Domestic Violence, so many times women and children (sometimes men too, i don't want to stereotype here) are forced to leave their homes with nothing and Give and Make Up helps provide them with everyday essentials that they may need.

I don't know if this was created by Caroline Hirons or whether she's just an ambassador for them but she has a page on her blog with all the information on it, if you'd like to find out more.

It has been running since 2010 so it's not anything but i think it's an incredible idea; things like make up and toiletries are items that i myself know i take for granted, my collection is ridiculous so i think it's great to be able to help those in a situation who have been left with nothing. This will be my first time donating any items to Give and Make Up but it's definitely something I'll be doing again in the future whenever i have a clear out.

    1. My collection is ridiculous and i have a hard time letting go of some items 'just incase' haha - but i agree, it's such a good organisation - definitely something everyone takes for granted too!
