I decided to be a little more adventurous with my eye make up and add a little colour but thanks to my silly overgrown fringe (needs to cutting so bad) you can't see it all that well - which is really frustrating as i actually quite liked how it turned out.

My base make up is pretty much the same as usual; using my Studio 10 Age Defy Face Perfector* to cover any blemishes, hide my dark circles and correct any redness, i love this concealer palette a lot as it works really well. My foundation of choice is the YSL Youth Liberator Serum Foundation, it has a medium to high coverage but it feels so light on the skin and it leaves you with a really lovely flawless finish. I set it all in place with Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, which i also dropped after using so its slowly starting to crumble too - i added a bit of colour into the face with Benefit Hoola Bronzer and for blush i used my Nars Blush in Sin.

For my eyebrows; I've been loving using the Studio 10 Brow Lift Perfecting Liner in Universal*, it's so easy to use - it's creamy and looks so natural too, i also like to groom and set them in place with the Maybelline Brow Drama.

I'm quite proud of myself for trying a different colour combination on my eyes - they're not anything too crazy or bright but as someone who wears mostly beige's and taupe's, it's an improvement. I used my trusty Mac Paint Pot in Painterly to create an even base tone and used the Bourjois Smoky Stories Eyeshadow Palette in In the Mauve to create the eye look, i used every shade in the palette except the silver glitter in the middle as i personally don't like using that - i also used the purple shade from the Essence All About Nude Eyeshadow Palette to darken the eye a little and add a little more depth. I also used the Sonia Kashuk Eye Definer in Purple Passion under the eye and blended it out a little. I used Soap & Glory Supercat Liner to create a winged liner look and used the amazing new Benefit Roller Lash Mascara on my lashes.

I finished the make-up off with Mac Lipstick in Plumful - it's a pink toned plum. I love this lipstick a lot, it's so pretty and it's a sheer lipstick so it's very wearable too. That is my purple/plum toned make up look - i hope you liked it, i enjoyed wearing something a little different.
