Lately, I've really gotten the bug for going to my local car boot sale, getting up at 6am is a killer as I'm definitely not a morning person but it's so worth it when you walk away with a great bargain. I didn't end up going this morning as i went an engagement party last night and only got home pretty late but i thought I'd share with you the items i got when i went last Sunday (19th April) - as i didn't get round to posting it last weekend.
I don't always have much luck with clothes at car boot sales and very rarely find any when I'm there but i managed to pick up two tops. The first is this grey jumper with sequined shoulders, it's originally from Dorothy Perkins and it was £1 - it's quite a thin jumper so I think I'll still be able to get a lot of wear out of it, especially during Spring. The only downside to it is that when i got home i realised I'd misread the size but it still fits okay so it's not all bad.
The second top is this short sleeved t-shirt style top (i don't know the correct term for it), it's so pretty and i think the colours are just gorgeous - I'm going to take this on holiday with me because i think it'll go really nicely against a tan. It's originally from George at Asda and again it only cost me £1, a few of the sequins on it are starting to fray a little bit but it's nothing too noticeable.
The next two items were the first things i found there - i don't know if I've mentioned it on my blog at all but I'm looking into getting a sewing machine in the next month or so because I'd love to learn how to make and customise my own clothes so when i came across the Sewing Machine Classroom Book for £1 i couldn't not get it, it's filled with all sorts or tips and advice when it comes to using the sewing machine so i think that will be really helpful.
I also found this Skater Dress Pattern, I'm probably getting a bit ahead of myself considering i don't even have the sewing machine yet but i really like this style of dress and it was only 50p so i decided to pick it up anyways.
My last find is definitely one of my favourites - I love curling wands and when i saw someone was selling the Remington Silk Waving Wand there was no way i was leaving that behind, especially because she only wanted £4 for it too. I'm always quite wary of buying electrical items in case they're faulty or don't work but i took the risk with this especially whilst it was so cheap and thankfully it works fine. I'm absolutely made up with this find because I've used this a lot this past week, it's so quick and easy to use!
I spent a total of £7.50 and I'm really made up with all my finds! I'm really enjoying going the Car Boot Sale at the moment and i will definitely keep posting hauls of what i find, if you are enjoying them! Check out my haul from last week here if you missed it!
