Just a quick review for you today as I'm super busy this week but i'm trying to get myself into a good routine again for blogging and i've been testing this mascara out for a while now and ive had the photos ready for this review for a few weeks so i thought i'd share my thoughts. If you remember back to this post here, Max Factor sent me a number of different eye products, one of which was this Max Factor Masterpiece HD Mascara*
I say this every time but Max Factor really excel themselves when it comes to mascara, I've been lucky to try quite a number of them and I'm yet to be disappointed and there Masterpiece HD Mascara* is no exception.
I'll be honest and say out of all the ones Ive tried this isn't my favourite one but it still gives great length and definition to the lashes and it's pretty good at holding a curl too. The brush has plastic bristles and the wand is quite flexible which makes it great for coating all the lashes, which really helps to seperate the lashes and give the impression of much fuller lashes. It does have quite a wet formula and can smudge a little if you're not careful with the application but its nothing a cotton bud can't fix.
I find it lasts all day; i've applied it at 8:30am for work and it's still been in place and still holding a curl at 9pm so it's a good option for anyone who works really long days and doesn't want to worry too much about their mascara flaking away. I've been using the water proof version and i can definitely vouch that it is water resistant, it does smudge when water touches it but it's very minimal compared to other mascaras. Normally, i hate waterproof mascaras i don't know why i just find the results aren't as good as non-waterproof mascaras so i only get them if i really need to. Max Factor did however, include a non waterproof version of this mascara in the bundle they sent so I've very intrigued to see how it compares and if it is better.
What's your favourite mascara at the moment?
