No holiday is complete without a little bit of shopping now is it? I actually surprised myself this time around because i didn't go as crazy as i normally do - i didn't even pick anything up in the airport on the way, which for me is a big deal! Anyways, most of the thing i bought were for presents but i did pick a few things up for myself.
Most of what i bought was from a shop called Ale Hop, my friend told me about this shop from when she went on holiday back in April so when i found out they had one where i was going i was really excited!
Firstly, they had really pretty washi tape; now i don't really know what I'm going to do with this yet but it was 2 euros for a box of four and I'm pretty certain it's not that cheap here, so i picked up 3 boxes. These seemed to be really popular because when i went back to pick up some more they'd sold out of a lot of the designs.
I also picked up some of the 'pop band' style hair ties; I've seen loads of people mention these and I've been wanting to try them so when i saw Ale Hop had them i just had to pick some up, they had loads of different colours but i played it safe with black ones - i also picked up another lot of them to go into a giveaway I'm planning on doing when i eventually hit the 1000 follower mark.
The bracelet wasn't from Ale Hop it was just from a random souvenir shop but it's one of those energy stone bracelets - there was loads of different ones and i picked up some of these for my friends too. I got myself 'Absorbs Negativity' because I'm such a negative nelly and always see the bad in things so i thought that was really nice.
My main reasons i wanted to go to Ale Hop was for their selection of notebooks; my friend got me one when she went away and I've been so excited to go back and get more because they are just beautiful. I was really restrained and only got myself 3 but i could have quite happily bought more. The top two are plain papered journal type notebooks and the last one is so unique and beautiful - i don't even know if i will ever be able to bring myself to write in it because I'd be so upset if i made a mess. The paper inside is just gorgeous.
I have absolutely no idea what I'm even going to use these notebooks for but i just couldn't not buy them!
Lastly, i bought the Smashbox Step-by-Step Contour Kit; i spotted this on the plane on the way there but i decided against buying it because i have enough bronzers and contours so i left it. However, on the way back i still had some spend left and as well as already being discounted, the airline had a further 20% off so after much debating i knew I'd only end up regretting it if i didn't get it. In the shops this retails for £35 and i got it for £22.50 so it was a pretty good deal.
Benidorm is quite limited in terms of shopping because a lot of the shops are mostly cheesy souvenir things but I'm really happy with the few things that i did buy and should you find yourself in Spain anytime soon, i highly recommend checking out Ale Hop - it is amazing!
