Zoella Kissy Missy Lip Balm

Zoella Kissy Missy Lip Balm

I honestly had no intention of buying anything from Zoella's beauty range, whilst i like Zoella a lot, I'm just not blown away by her beauty range. Don't get me wrong; it's packaged lovely and I'm sure the products themselves are really nice too but to me, it just lacks a bit of imagination especially where the scents are concerned; first, vanilla and now tutti frutti - it's just not very original.

That being said, one product that did catch my attention and i couldn't resist picking up was the Zoella Kissy Missy Lip Balm.

Zoella Kissy Missy Lip Balm

Regardless of my initial thoughts; this is actually a lovely lip product. I don't rate it too much as a lip balm - it is moisturising and non sticky but it's not the kind of lip balm you'd be using to save your dry lips in winter. I don't quite know how to describe the consistency of it; whilst it feels creamy in the tub it's not so creamy to apply on the lips.

The thing i like the most about this lip product is the pigmentation, you'd almost think this is a lipstick. Its such a quick and easy way to get a hint of colour on the lips, you can keep it a really subtle colour or you can layer it up and get a more bold and intense lip colour. The colour leaves a slight stain on the lips so it wears really well and lasts for hours. Ironically, i think it smells more like vanilla that it's supposed tutti frutti scent but its a pleasant scent either way.

I don't particularly like the name of this lip balm; 'kissy missy' just sounds a little bit childish to me. However, that doesn't affect the product so I'm sure I'll get over it.

What are your thoughts on Zoella's beauty range?

  1. The name isn't my favourite either, but it's good to know the actual product is good! I am intrigued by her range but haven't actually tried any of it.

  2. I feel the same - packaging is cute but the scents are for me. Although I think Im way over the target age range. I saw this one her video & was surprised at how pigmented it was, I thought the colour was very pretty too

    1. Tbh, i wouldn't recommend it for very dry lips. It's a lovely product and it's moisturising but it's not that kind of lip balm

  4. WOW that's the most pigmented lip balm I've EVER seen, looks like it'd work a treat on the colour front!
