What's In My Travel Make Up Bag?

What's In My Travel Make Up Bag?

It's always such a tough decision when it comes to deciding on what make up i want to take on holiday, normally i go way overboard and pack alternatives for everything, you know just in case. I'm actually quite proud of myself this time round as I've really limited the amount of products but still given a couple of alternatives so i can mix it up.

The make up bag I'm taking is the same make up bag i included in my what's in my make up bag post (here), it's a pink make up bag with studded detail and it's originally from primark. It was really cheap but it's a good size and it fits everything in without being too big.

I don't know if I'll even wear foundation when I'm away because I'm hoping to get a little bit of a tan but i thought I'd take the Korress Ginger & Vitamins foundation for if i do need a bit of coverage as this is very lightweight. The Benefit Fine One One is the easy way to get some colour and highlight onto the cheeks without much effect because you can do it in one sweep, I'm also taking this little sample of Benefit Watts Up! Highlighter and I've swapped the Max Factor Creme Puff Blush for the H&M Spring Flower Blush because i think both products will be lovely against a tan. For eyebrows, I'm only taking the Rimmel Brow This Way so i can neaten them up and make them look more presentable.

Eye make up is something i tend to keep quite simple generally but when I'm on holiday i do try to keep it to a bare minimum; I'm taking my Mac Eyeshadow Quad and Max Factor Masterpiece Colour Precision Eyeshadows* in Beige and Coffee so that I've got a couple of options, my Benefit They're Real Push Up Liner and my current obsession the Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara. I'm also taking my Mac Paint Pot in Painterly as it's the perfect base for eyeshadows but i can also wear it alone if i just want an even base.

I've kept the amount of lip products to a minimum and tried to cover all bases with the range of shades; Kiko Ultra Stylo Gloss Lipstick in 803 which is a sheer pink nude and perfect for everyday wear. I've really been enjoying orange toned lip products at the moments so I've also included for Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick in Hibiscus and the Maybelline Sensation Colour Elixir in Mandarin Rupture and in case i fancy going for a red lip, I'm taking Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick in Poinsetta.

  1. I find makeup packing so difficult too! I go away in August and I think I've got it cracked for my makeup - BB cream, translucent powder, waterproof mascara, a couple of MR palettes and a choice of lipstick - sorted! (hopefully?) haha. I really enjoyed this post :) x

  2. I can't really take much on holiday with me as I am only taking hand luggage so I need to be extra picky! I love all the lip colours you've chosen.
