Monthly Favourites | August

It's monthly favourites time again. Christmas is slowly starting to appear throughout the retail world which is really freaking me out as it doesn't seem like 5 mins since i was last flapping around buying presents for everyone. Anyways, i don't have all that many favourites this month as I've really been sticking to a routine and using the same products. So if you want to know what I've been loving this month, keep reading!

Monthly Favourites | August

Smashbox Step by Step Contour Kit
I did a full review on this quite recently - see here. I really like this contour kit; it has a helpful guide to show you how to contour which is great for beginners or noobs like myself. They aren't overly pigmented which i prefer but they are buildable so i can really cater it to my own preference. It's great quality and it makes it easier for me to get a really natural looking contour.

Bourjous Smokey Stories Eyeshadow Quad in Over Rose
This is a slight cheat as I've only started using it this past week. I've had it for a while but never used it and decided to add it into my make up rotation to try out and since trying it last week, I've just fallen for it. The colours are still very neutral but they have a rose tone to them and they blend together so lovely, it makes creating a simple smokey eye with them so easy. They're pigmented and last really well without creasing the only thing i don't like it the sparkly bit in the middle but i don't use that anyway.

Origins Ginger Rush Intensly Hydrating Body Cream
I found this at the car boot sale a few weeks ago for £1, it was unused so i decided to give it a try and i absolutely love it. It smells incredible - the scent almost reminds me of cola bottles, it's quite sweet but it's also really relaxing. It's so pleasant and smooth to apply and it sinks into the skin so easy. It's so hydrating and my skin feels really soft and moisturised since i started using it.

BRYT Calm Serum*
I'm not usually a bit fan of serums but since i started trying this out it's really changed my mind. This is more like a cream formula which i think is what makes me like it. This is one of those products that you can really feel being absorbed into the skin and it's so soothing. See my review here.

Maybelline The Falsies Feather Look Volum' Express Mascara
I've really been enjoying this mascara; it's actually a brown/black shade which isn't normally something I'd opt for but it's actually really nice and it doesn't look really harsh either, if you're after something a bit more natural. The wand is quite flexible which makes it much easier to access and coat all the lashes, it's a really lovely mascara and i really like how it makes my lashes look.

Estee Lauder Deluxe All Over Face Compact
I reviewed this quite recently on my blog - see here. I absolutely love this compact; it has three blushes and a face powder and I've found myself reaching for it everyday since i got it. They're such good quality, they apply so smoothly and last really well. I also love how their is a shade for all the seasons.

so those are my monthly favourites, I'd love to know what you've been loving throughout August?

  1. I love any makeup by Bourjois, specifically their eye products. I'm yet to try anything from the ginger Origins range but it sounds delicious!
