I've picked up quite a few things from the Car Boot Sale and some charity shops these past few weeks so i thought I'd do a collective haul and show you some of the things I've picked up. Normally, i post hauls each week after I've been to the Car Boot Sale but I'm always so tired when i get back that these past few weeks I've just not felt like it so I'm going to combine it all into one along with the other bits I've picked up too.
Word of warning this is quite photo heavy and it's also quite possible I've forgotten to include some things in the photos as I've been using them and they're scattered all over my room, i think this is most things but i will include any others that i remember.
From the Car Boot Sale i picked up this Orange Tribal Print Maxi Skirt for £2, it's originally from Primark and it was brand new with tags; sadly this doesn't fit me but I'm going to have a go at refashioning it, possibly into a peasant top. The white blouse with lace edges was only £1, it's so pretty. I took a bit of a risk with the size as it's definitely from a cheap market type brand so the sizing is a bit off so this doesn't fit me great either - I'm actually gutted because it's a really lovely blouse.
Two other pieces of clothing i picked up was some jeans and a coat but i forgot to photograph them; the F+F Super Skinny Jeans i got for £2 - finding a good pair of skinny jeans is a nightmare for me because i have big hips and a huge bum but really skinny ankles, however any jeans that are a bigger size assume that you must have cankles so skinny jeans always look really wide on me and it's so frustrating. These F+F jeans however, fit my ankles perfectly and actually look like skinny jeans, the zips a little iffy but I'm definitely going to head to Tescos to see if they still sell these!
The coat was from a local charity shop, it's originally from Next and only cost me £3. I don't know how to describe the coat but it's black and white almost tweed style and it fits really nicely. I'm absolutely made up with it as it'll be perfect for winter.
I've discovered that i have a bit of a boot obsession even though i rarely wear them (mostly due to my dodgy not so skinny, skinny jeans) however, because I'm a size 6 shoe, there's also so many boots at the car boot sale and i just can't resist them. I think i paid either £2 or £3 for the flat cut out boot but I've been after a pair for ages as i want some shoes that i can withstand it's raining without them getting obliterated (yes, Primark Ballet Pumps - I'm talking about you) so i think these will be good for that and will still look half decent.
These gorgeous grey/brown toned ankle boots were a whopping £1 and i love them. They do have a mark on one of the boots but other than that they don't look like they've been worn too much. I've not had chance to wear these yet as I'm waiting until i get some proper skinny jeans but i definitely think i will get a lot of use out of these.
The last pair of boots i got today and I definitely don't need another pair but i really liked these brown heeled ankle boots (originally New Look), i think these will look really nice paired with proper skinny jeans or a cute dress. They cost me £3 and they don't look like they've been worn that much. I can't wait to wear them!
I try to avoid buying DVDs because I don't really have the storage space for them, however, I'm in the process of trying to spruce up my room and I've decided I'm going to transfer all my DVDs into a CD Wallet case to save space so I've found myself picking a few up.
The Star Wars Trilogy box set; i actually picked up for my friend as i know she likes Star Wars but i wasn't sure if she had the DVDs or not and this was only £2 so i picked up anyways. Sadly, she does already own these ones so I'll probably see if any of my others friends want them or I'll whack them up on Ebay or something.
I also got Matilda and Annie for i think it was £1 each; i used to own both these on video when i was younger so I've finally gotten round to replacing those. Annie was one of my absolute favourite movies to watch growing up and as for Matilda, someone mentioned that they were watching it on twitter and since reading that i really fancied watching it so when i saw it at the car boot sale, i couldn't not get it.
I feel like this is a bit random but these are alphabet stamps; I've been watching stamps like these on Ebay for ages but they always end up shooting up in price. These only cost me £1.50 so i couldn't leave them behind for that price, I'm hoping to use these in my 'To Do Planner' next year and i may even use them to personalise gift tags at Christmas or something.
I got this Crown Brush Concealer palette for £2, it's been used a lot but the girl that was selling it explained that she's just finished studying make up and was decluttering some of her kit and all the dents and marks are where she's used a spatula to use the products on clients. I mostly wanted this to have a go at contouring with cream products.
The One Direction 'Our Moment' is one of my favourite perfumes; it honestly smells amazing, regardless of whether you like One Direction or not serious go and smell this, i always get the most compliments when i wear this and people are always so shocked when i tell them what it is. So I'm glad to have another back up (it's my 3rd bottle), i think this was only £2 and it's a 30ml too.
Lastly i got this Avon Eye Artist Eyeshadow Trio in Perfect Pink and from what i can tell this hasn't actually been used. I don't exactly need another eyeshadow trio but these are really lovely colours and for 50p, it was a shame to leave it behind.
These last few bits are what i got from a Charity shop; i got the Audrey Hepburn Collection for £2.99, i love Audrey Hepburn and I've always wanted to see more of her films and this comes with five of them. The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies was £1.99, i don't actually own the first two yet but I'm sure this was only released on DVD quite recently and i really enjoyed the Hobbit films so it seemed silly to leave it behind.
Jewellery isn't something i usually buy as i rarely end up wearing it but this necklace was only 99p and it was just one of those things that really caught my eye. There is the odd gem missing from it but i just thought it was really unusual and i loved the colour combination and i think this will be really nice for dressing up an outfit. Last of all, i got Sew Over It by Lisa Comfort for £2 - I was mostly drawn to this because of how pretty the book itself is but it'll also be useful for me as I'm trying to learn to sew.
I'm really loving shopping in charity shops and going to Car Boot Sale hauls, I'm actually considering a challenge of some kind for next year. Also if you'd like a post with some advice or tips for the Car Boot Sale, do let me know as I've picked up a few handy tips.
