Seventeen Make Up | Initial Impressions

Seventeen is a brand that just seems to be going from strength to strength, I’ve often seen their make up stand in Boots or seen bloggers rave about their products – even my best friend never shuts up about how could their Phwoar Paint Concealer is but for some reason I’ve just never taken the plunge and really tried many of their products. I was very kindly sent two products from the brand to try and I can safely say that I won’t be ignoring their make up stand on my next visit to Boots as I’m rather impressed with the quality.

Seventeen Miracle Matte Pressed Powder*
This has already become a handbag essential for me, I’ve not left the house without it every since I got it. It removes shine and mattifies the base really well, I have the shade Ivory Porcelain which matches my skin tone really well and I love that it doesn’t transfer loads of colour. I feel like this powder almost brightens up my complexion, it sets my base really well and it gives such a lovely matte and flawless finish. The packaging is compact and sturdy so it’s really handy for keeping in your handbag without worrying it’s going to get damaged easily.

Seventeen Define & Conquer Contour Kit*
The packaging of this kit really reminds me of Nars which is definitely not a bad thing because it’s very luxurious looking. The contour is a brown toned powder which is great for adding shadows and creating definition to the face – it’s so easy to use, it blends easily and it even comes with a card with some handy tips for application so it’s a great kit for beginners too. The highlight powder isn’t my favourite mostly because it’s just not as glowy as I’d like it to be but it does brighten up the face and it’s great for a more subtle day to day look.

I’ve really been enjoying using these products and I have been reaching for both daily, they’re so easy to use and both give great results. They’re such great quality and they’re really affordable too. I’ll definitely be paying more attention to Seventeen in the future.

What Seventeen products would you recommend?

  1. Ooooh I've still not tried any Seventeen products yet. The contour kit sounds good, I think I might give it a go :)
