I was very recently contacted by the lovely people from Born Pretty Store and asked if I'd like to choose a couple of things from their website. I'm doing my best to try and contain my collection so i decided to choose some make up tools and accessories instead, although i did end up picking up one cheeky lipstick - what can i say i just couldn't resist.
The first thing i opted for was these Handmade Thick Criss Cross False Eyelashes - I've got a really thing about false eyelashes at the moment and i really liked how they fanned out to accentuate the end lashes. For me these were far too big, they are really full and thick lashes - these are perfect for nights out if you like those massive full lashes which i personally don't.
However, i actually cut mine and snipped off one side (the one with the longest lashes) and it was perfect. They fitted my lashes really well, were really easy to apply and i reapplied them again the next day and still got the same great results. I actually like these a heck of a lot more than i thought i would, they are so comfortable to wear and I'm really glad i picked them.
So it's apparent that i can't completely resist make up as i chose the Moisturising Long Lasting Vampire Style Lipstick in #15, if you read my recent review on Avon's Wine With Everything lipstick (here) you'll know that I've been really drawn to berry, plums and purple toned lipsticks.
When i first saw it i was a bit unsure because in the bullet it looks really dark but as you can see from the swatch it actually applies a really beautiful berry wine read shade. It's very bold and dark and definitely not for the faint hearted. Considering it's such an affordable lipstick it's actually really moisturising on the lips and it stays on the lips for ages.
The last things i chose was a Beauty Expansion Foundation Sponge which is essentially another beauty blender. My current one is ready to be thrown away as I've had it for a while now and it's just getting a bit gross and i like using a beauty blender for my foundation so i didn't want to be without one. I've used this a handful of times and so far I'm really like it, i love that it has a flat top as it makes it even easier to blend in foundation and concealer.
Overall, I'm really happy with the three items I've chosen. I'm particularly made up with the eyelashes and I'm actually tempted to order some more.
Have you tried anything from Born Pretty Store?
