Whilst away on holiday i picked up a few new make up products from Catrice Cosmetics (see my haul here) I'd never tried anything from there before so i thought rather than doing a whole bunch of individuals reviews, i would put them all together in one and share my initial impressions on each product.
I'm really enjoying using both of the Catrice Cosmetics Absolute Eye Colour Eye shadows they are the perfect colours for Autumn/Winter too. I Wear my Plum Glasses at Night is the a stunning matte taupe-brown shade, it's so lovely and it is the perfect crease colour. Plum Up the Jam is a plum/burgundy shade and it has shimmer running through it, i like using this in the out corner to add a bit of colour into a neutral eye and it's really lovely. I'd prefer this to be matte rather than having shimmer running through it but it's still a lovely product.
I really like to have something to set my brows in place after I've filled them in because they are quite unruly and I've currently misplace the clear gel that comes with the Collection Kit so i decided to try this Catrice Cosmetics Fixing Brow Wax and i absolutely love it. It's so easy to use and really does hold the hairs place - i even use this when I'm not filling them in but want to tidy them up a bit. I don't normally like brow waxes but this is brilliant and because it's packaged as a pen too, it's so easy to use.
I decided to pick up the Catrice Cosmetics Beautifying Lip Smoother in Coffee To Go because it reminded me of the Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfectors so i was curious to try it. I've never actually tried the Clarins ones though so i can't actually compare. I do really like this lip product though, it's so creamy and moisturising and i love the packaging. The colour Coffee To Go is a lovely nude pink and a perfect everyday colour - i love that it's such an easy and low maintenance product to use and to take on the go with you.
The Catrice Cosmetics Ultimate Last Multimizer Volume Mascara is the only product that hasn't blown me away so far, it applied quite thick and almost clumpy to the lashes. I've only tried it the once so who knows maybe next time i try it, i love it and it'll be in next months favourites but my initial impression isn't great.
I was hoping for thick and voluminous, not thick and clumpy. I don't know it's the formula or if i let it dry out a bit it might be better but at the moment, it's not a product I'm reaching for.
I decided to include this in the post as well even though it's not from Catrice Cosmetics this is the Essence Long Lasting Lipstick in All About Cupcake - it's a really creamy lipstick, they have really good colour pay off and last really well on the lips too. All About Cupcake is lovely pink nude and it's such a pretty colour and a lovely everyday shade.
So those are my initial thoughts on the Catrice Cosmetics (and Essence) products that i picked up from my holiday. So far I'm really impressed with the products I've picked up.
