Autumn is one of my favourite season; i love everything about it but the thing i love most is the make up - the taupe's, plums and berries tones all come out to play and i love it. I had a rare day off the other day so i decided to spend a little bit of extra time doing my make up and i thought I'd share it with you.
I decided to go for a higher coverage foundation to give me more of a flawless finish so i used the Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation, i kept the rest of my base pretty simple concealer any flaws, adding a little contour with the Collection Contour Kit and of course no Autumnal look would be complete without a flush of Nars Blush in Sin.
It doesn't actually look it but i actually put a bit of effort into my eyeshadows using Mac's Naked Lunch Eyeshadow and my two Catrice Cosmetics Absolute Eye Colour Eyeshadows in I Wear Plum Glasses at Night and Plum up the Jam - i wanted to branch out from my usual neutral eye so i used some taupe and plummy shades and it actually turned out really nicely. I ever pushed the boat out and wore some false lashes, these are the ones from Born Pretty Store that i mentioned on my blog the other day (see here) i had to cut mine down as they were far to big but they're so comfortable and i love how they compliment the make up so well and they still look quite natural too.
I really liked how my make up turned out and i felt like it was one of those looks that could be really versatile and suit a lot of occasions so i thought I'd try two lip alternatives.
Firstly, i went for a nude lip option and wore the Catrice Cosmetics Beautifying Lip Smoother in Coffee To Go - this is a gorgeous nude pink colour and the perfect everyday colour. It's such a lovely lip product to wear and it compliments the make up really well and made it a great way to wear this make up day to day.
Secondly, no Autumnal make up look is complete without a berry/plum lip now is it. This is Avon's Ultra Colour Lipstick in Wine With Everything and is essentially the cheap alternative to Mac's Rebel Lipsticks. It's a gorgeous colour and a really lovely moisturising lipstick too. You could still wear this day to day, it's just gives the look that bold and fierce edge to it.
