If you follow me on Instagram and Twitter, you'll know that I've just gotten back from a week in Tenerife - i took my Canon Eos M so i could get some nice scenic shots so i thought I'd share with you some of the ones I've taken.
Before i show you the photos i just wanted to let you know that I'm in the process of changing jobs so between finishing my notice and starting the other job, it's leaving me with very little time (I don't have a day off now til the 20th) this means it's going to be a struggle to take blog photos, i should have enough already done to get some posts up for the next week or so but i just wanted to give you a heads up in case i don't end up getting a post up.
We stayed in Playas De Americas and whilst we was there we spent a good few hours strolling around the beach which is where i took all these shots. It doesn't look sunny because due to the Volcano on the island it gets quite cloudy but i can assure you that it was absolutely roasting, you wouldn't have thought it was October it was that hot. I really like these photos especially the ones of the ocean as i find them quite calming.
We went all inclusive and stayed at Aparthotel Parque Le Paz - it was actually quite lovely minus the severe lack of air conditioner and bed that felt like bricks (i didn't get a great deal of sleep) but it had an unusual layout, the food was decent and the staff were really helpful and friendly. The top photo is the view we had from the balcony which was really lovely and at night it was really vibrant and lit up.
I also picked up some make up items during my holiday so i thought I'd include a little haul for you. First thing i picked up was The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer, i got this on the plane on the way there. I had no intention of buying anything but as soon as i saw this i just couldn't resist as I'm always hearing such great things about it.
There was quite a good selection of shops near us and i went in pretty much every beauty shop because i love seeing what make up they have and i love it even more when it's a brand i can't get hold of at home. In this instance, i found a Catrice Cosmetics stand - I've seen this pop up on blogs a few times but never tried it myself, it's a really affordable brand so i decided to pick up a few items. I got the Fixing Brow Wax, two Absolute Eye Colour Eyeshadows in Plum Up the Jam and I Wear My Plum Glasses at Night, Beautifying Lip Smoother in Coffee To Go and the Ultimate Last Multimizer Volume Mascara. In the same shop they has an Essence stand, i do have a stand local to me but they had a little sale box where i found this Essence Lipstick in All About Cupcake so i decided to pick that up too. I'm really looking forward to trying all these out and instead of doing individual reviews, I'm going to one post with my initial impressions.
As i had some left over Euros, i had already made my mind up on the way back that i was going to treat myself to a Chanel Lipstick at the airport. I was going to get the blogger favourite 'Boy' but i was really underwhelmed when i swatched it as i found it had barely any colour to it so i had a good swatch through a lot of the shades and left with the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Boheme.
I also picked up a few souvenirs and keyrings to pass onto friends but i didn't photograph those.
Have you been on holiday recently?
