Collective Haul | Beauty, Books & Clothes

My second haul in less than a week, something is definitely wrong. It's not often that i spend a lot of money on myself but amongst all the christmas shopping I've done these past two weeks, I've managed to pick myself up some cheeky presents too. It only fair though, right?

I picked up a couple of jumpers from H&M, as it's getting colder i wanted some new lightweight jumpers that i could easily pair with my jeans.I got the Penguin Jumper first for £14.99 and then i saw the Elfie Selfie Jumper (also £14.99), now I'm not a very festive person but i absolutely loved the jumper and i knew i just had to get my hands on it.

Speaking of jumpers, i also picked up two from Primark - i had no intention of buying myself anything from Primark but when i saw the range of themed sweaters they had i couldn't resist and left with both the Gryffindor and Hakuna Matata sweatshirt at £10 each. I kinda wish I'd picked up the bottoms to match for days I'm feeling extra lazy but I'm really happy with the jumpers.

I didn't actually plan to buy any make up - i had some vouchers for Debenhams and i had every intention of buying myself a coffee machine but then i saw that it was an extra 10% off beauty and fragrances and i just couldn't resist. I've had my eye on the Clinique Chubby Contour Stick for ages so i seized my opportunity and picked it up and whilst i was at the Clinique counter, i also got the Clinique Bottam Lash Mascara - i can't remember the exact amount i paid for each but it came to £29.30 for both.

With the left over vouchers i was going to get the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation but they didn't have the shade i needed so instead i decided to pick up the Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 palette (£20.70) which has been on my wishlist for a while. Thanks to the 10% off, i managed to get more for my money and I'm really excited to start using these.

The Katy Perry Killer Queen Oh So Sheer perfume was a complete impulse buy. I don't know about your local B&M but there perfume cabinet is full of complete bargains and whilst i was picking up a present for someone else i noticed this for £6.99 and thought why not. A bit of a risky move since i had no idea what the scent was like but thankfully it's actually quite nice.

The last few bits i got from The Works - thanks to my staff discount (i work there) i got these a bit cheaper but they're relatively cheap anyways. I did actually buy a lot from there but some are presents so I'm only showing the bits i got for myself.

Since reading The Diary of a Young Girl, I've been quite interest in World War 2 so i picked up After Auscwitz by Eva Schloss (£3.00) Eva Schloss is the step sister of Anne Frank and this is her version of what she experienced during the war. I've also been eyeing up the Starlytes Mulled wine candle for ages now so i knew i had to get one, I'm not normally a mulled wine fan but this has the most gorgeous cherry like scent and as you can see from the photo i have already started to burn it!

I also got this Shiver Boxset - i don't quite know what this is about but it was in the 2 for £10 offer and i already had something that was in the offer so for an extra £3 i could pick something else so i decided to pick this up. Last of all, i got this Owl Weekly Schedule (£3.00) - i had a chalkboard weekly schedule but i hated it because you couldn't fit much on it and it's not easy to write it in chalk so i got one of these to help keep me organised.

I've also picked up a lot of homeware bits from Home Bargains, B&M and Ikea but I'm hoping to do a room update kind of post so I'll show them in that, if i do it.

Have you treated yourself to anything lately?

  2. Lovely photos accompanying a lovely post! I have the Naked 2, it's actually one of the first eyeshadow palettes I bought and it's still in my collection years later. Such a versatile palette I love it!
