Make Up I've Used Up #4

 photo IMG_3682_zps03yazx3j.jpg

As you can see from the above photo, I've used up quite a few make up products recently. Some I've loved, others not so much so i thought I'd give you some bite size reviews of the make up I've used up.

Benefit Rollerlash Mascara
This is such a great mascara, i really want to get my hands on the full size. It adds so much volume to the lashes and the brush really separates and coats the lashes. I love the way this mascara makes my eyelashes look, it gives amazing results whilst still looking nice and natural.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer
I actually really like this concealer. It's very light in coverage but does cover under eyes and blemishes well, it has a nice creamy consistency which makes it really easy to blend. I can't remember what shade i had but I'm sure it's the lightest one and that matched me really well and it brightened up my under eye area too.

Maybelline The Falsies Feather Look Volum' Express
I enjoyed using this mascara alot more than i thought i would. It was a brown/black shade and i rather liked the difference, it was much more subtle and natural looking and it was a great day to day mascara. The flexible wand also meant that it application was much easier and it coated the lashes really nice and evenly.

Benefit They're Real Push Up Gel Liner
I had a love/hate relationship with this eyeliner. The application was just really poor, the whole selling point of this liner was that it had a special nib that improved the application, in terms of applying gel liner it was easier in a pen form but i found that it dragged across the lid. However, once the eyeliner was on, it was really nice - it was very pigmented and stayed in place for hours. This would be the perfect eyeliner if it wasn't for the application and for the price of it, it should glide on.

Rimmel ScandalEyes Retro Glam Mascara
I was quite disappointed with this mascara. It was okay but i just felt like it didn't really do anything impressive for my lashes. I wasn't a big fan of the brush either, it was quite big so it always transferred and smudged onto the lid which is so annoying especially if I've put a lot of effort into my eye shadows. It's an okay mascara but i won't be running out to buy it any time soon.

Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara*
This mascara on the other hand is amazing. It really did give my lashes that false lash effect, it added loads of length and really separated them out too. I definitely plan to repurchase this at some point as i just loved how it made my lashes look.

Orly Bonder Rubberised Base Coat
I don't really have a good or bad word to say about this. It's one of those products that does exactly what it says on the tin.

Rimmel Brow This Way Brow Gel
I really like these type of brow products - the small brush makes it easy to groom and neaten the brows and it also has a little bit of colour to fill in the brows. Its great to use on their own or if you want something a little more bold, i fill them in with a pencil or powder underneath and then use this over.

Mac Lipstick in Creme Cup
Possibly my all time favourite lipstick and I'm gutted it's at the end - thankfully, i know Santa is replacing it for me. This is the perfect nude pink shade; it's such a versatile shade, it's the perfect day to day lip colour or it really compliment bold eyes for a more a dressed up look. It has a lovely creamy formula and i just adore this lipstick.

Max Factor Masterpiece HD Mascara*
Out of all Max Factor mascara's I've tried this isn't my favourite one but it still gives length and definition to the lashes and is pretty good at holding a curl . The brush has plastic bristles and the wand is flexible which is great for really coating the lashes and really separate them to give the impression of much fuller lashes.

Collection BB Secrets Beauty Balm
I wanted to love this BB cream so much because i really like Collection as a brand but it's just such a disappointment. It works okay, nice formula and blends easy but it didn't offer a lot of coverage and it's not the most buildable product without leaving yourself looking cakey. You also can't wear this without a powder because it has quite a shiny looking finish, which for me isn't pleasant.

Avon Mega Effects Mascara
I was really curious to try this mascara due to the brush as it's so different to other mascaras and i was intrigued to see how different it was. It was nice and did add length to the lashes but i actually didn't enjoy using the brush as much as I'd thought, i felt like i couldn't control it the same way and because of that i couldn't apply it properly. It's a nice mascara but i don't think I'll miss using it anytime soon.
