This is my very first Chanel Lipstick - I've had the shade 'Boy' on my wish list for ages so on my way back from Tenerife in October, i decided that the time had finally come to treat myself and get it. However, when i swatched 'Boy' i was super disappointed, it's a lovely nude shade but i found it barely transferred any colour and i just felt that it wasn't worth the money, so after swatching the rest of the range i decided on the shade Boheme and i can safely say I'm pretty happy with my choice.
Boheme is a coral/orange shade which as a slight red undertone - it's a really gorgeous shade, it's definitely a perfect spring/summer lip colour and i know i will be wearing it a heck of a lot during those seasons - I have actually still been wearing it now though. It's such a gorgeous colour and it's one of those lipstick that i enjoy wearing day to day because even though it's a brighter colour, it's very wearable.
The formula of this lipstick is my absolute favourite, it's has a similar formula to a lip butter - it's creamy, moisturising and hydrating and feels amazing on the lips. It does apply quite sheer but it's very buildable so you can either go for a light hint of colour or build it up from something more intense.
Please just take a moment to admire this packaging, it's just stunning and the classic black and gold colours give it that really luxurious feel and look to it, i almost want to frame it in a glass box. Due to it's sheer application, it doesn't have the longest staying power and does need to be reapplied but i reapply my lip products anyway and i really like this lipstick so i can look past that.
Chanel lipsticks definitely aren't on the cheap side; they retail for around £25.00 but if you are thinking about treating yourself to one, i would definitely recommend it. They are amazing quality and have a massive range of shades and formulas too.
