I really like contouring and whilst I'm still not that great at it, i still love giving it a good go. I've tried a lot of powder options but ever since the release of the Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Contour, I've been intrigued to see if i could achieve better results with a cream contour product.

I've eyed this up so many times and always put it back and walked away deeming it not essential (i have a few contour kits/palettes already) but on a recent trip to Liverpool with some spare Debenhams vouchers and 10% off all beauty and fragrance, i decided to get it.

I've been using this for a few weeks now and I'm definitely still getting to grips with using it but i definitely feel like my contour looks much neater and blends out much better. I love how creamy it is and how easy it is to apply onto the skin and as it's packaged in a crayon style stick its even easier. It's literally like drawing on your face - it's quite bizarre drawing bold brown lines on but it really helps to get a more precise application the face.

I still like powder contour but i feel that the cream alternatives work better for me - i get better results with the cream products and i think it helps because i can control both the application and the blending a lot more.

I like to blend mine out with a beauty blender but brushes work too, i just find i can control it more with the sponge. It takes a little bit of time and effort to blend out and to remove any harsh edges and work it into the skin but the results are great. I believe there is only one shade available in this stick which i think is quite limiting to some skin tones but i can make this work for me, it does have an orange tone to it but it's not that obvious when it's all blended in.

You can also cater it more to your own tastes as you can build it up and blend it out as much or as little as you want  - personally, i like a more natural contour. I absolutely love this chubby stick, it's such a great and easy way to contour and add definition to the face and i feel more and more confident the more that i use it.

Do you prefer a cream or powder contour?
