I'm feeling really great and motivated about my blog at the moment, so much so that I've decided to blog everyday in December. I'm not doing 'blogmas' exactly (i really don't like the word blogmas, but i really don't know why) I'm just posting everyday, so expect a mixture of posts; beauty, lifestyle and hopefully some Christmas ones too.
I've actually been trying to avoid getting any more mascaras because I've got a fair few unopened waiting to be loved so I'm trying to work my way through those before trying any others, however when the new Max Factor Velvet Volume False Lash Effect Mascara* came through my letter box, how could i possibly resist.
I say this all the time but i really rate Max Factor Mascara's, they are at the more pricey end of high street make up but they are fantastic quality and there newest addition is no exception.
As the name suggests, the Max Factor Velvet Volume False Lash Effect Mascara* focuses more on volumising the lashes than adding length - i never really know what expect when it comes to volumising mascaras because i personally always opt for lengthening mascara but i was very pleasantly surprised with the results.
On the first application the first thing that i noticed was that it really separates the lashes and i think it's down the plastic comb because it really grips the lashes and coats them individually - i personally really hate that clumped together look, i want length but i also want them to look nice and natural and this is amazing for that. It doesn't add a lot of length but it really does make a different to them.
This mascara gives my lashes the perfect natural false lash look - i love false lashes but they are always stupidly long, at least on me they are but this mascara gives me the look i want to get from false lashes - long, volumised, separated and natural.
It retails for around £11.99 which is a little pricey than most high street mascara but as i mentioned earlier, Max Factor mascara are always really great quality and I'm yet to find one that i don't like using so they are honestly worth the money. It doesn't smudge or transfer, it lasts really well on the lashes without flaking and it's just generally a really great mascara.
Have you tried Max Factor's newest mascara?
