 Monthly Favourites | April

How is April over already? April has been quite a busy month for me and I'm so glad Spring has finally graced us with it's presence, the sunnier days have definitely put me in a brighter mood and it's making me so excited for summer and for my holiday.

Review | Black and White Genuine Pluko Hair Dressing Pomade

I've never really tried hair wax before because I've always associated it with being more of a male hair product. I've always relied heavily on hairsprays to hold my hairstyles in place and whilst it's yet to let me down, i decided to try something new - i wanted something that might help smooth my hair down a bit as well as holding it in place so i have been trying out the Black and White Genuine Pluko Hair Dressing Pomade*

Car Boot Sale Haul #7

Car Boot Sale Haul #7

Lately, I've really gotten the bug for going to my local car boot sale, getting up at 6am is a killer as I'm definitely not a morning person but it's so worth it when you walk away with a great bargain. I didn't end up going this morning as i went an engagement party last night and only got home pretty late but i thought I'd share with you the items i got when i went last Sunday (19th April) - as i didn't get round to posting it last weekend.

Review | Rimmel Brow This Way Brow Styling Gel

I'm always looking to try new brow products because I'm yet to find that holy grail that gives me the brows that i want. I want my brows to looks neat and full but still remaining very natural and its hard to find a product that gives me those results and is easy to use - i have quite thick and unruly brows that stick up in every other direction so something that can control those whilst require very little effort is exactly what i need - any recommendations, do let me know? I have encountered a few brow products that I've liked a lot but none have ticked all of the boxes so I'm still on my quest to find that ultimate one. Lately, I've been trying out Rimmel's Brow This Way Styling Gel (£3.99 - available here)

Liverpool Empire | Dirty Dancing

I don't know if you know this about me but I'm a big fan of going to the theatre; i just love it, I'd quite happily watching anything on the stage because there is just something about sitting in a theatre and seeing a live performance that really draws me in - literally every time i go, i leave wishing that i could be that person on stage. I just love the whole experience and I've decided to start doing posts about the shows i go to see because i do have quite a few booked over the next few months and i thought maybe you'd like to see what make up i wear and a review of the show too!

Life Lately #7 | Business Cards, Birthdays and a New Camera

It's been an eventful few days this past week or so and i just really felt like sitting down and sharing a few things with you. It's been ages since i last did an update lifestyle post as i was struggling with which format i preferred and i don't know if you've noticed but I've not been posting as frequently on 'youralmostalice' as i used to and that's just because I've taken a more laid back approach to blogging, I've been blogging as and when rather than restricting myself to a schedule and I've found myself taking more time and effort with each post. I've stopped putting posts up for the sake of it and removing the pressure off my shoulders as made me love blogging even more.

The Blush Addict Tag

The Blush Addict Tag

It's come to my attention recently that i have way more blush than one single person needs but i am quite fickle with blush, no sooner I've discovered one i really like another one catches my attention and i move on. Blush however, is one of my favourite parts of a make up look because even though it's not the main focus for me it's the product that ties everything together. So when i came across 'The Blush Addict Tag' on Porcelain Beauty's Blog i decided to give it a go.

Car Boot Sale #6

Car Boot Sale #6

I got up at the horrific time of 6:10am this morning to go to my local Car Boot Sale - i don't always go because some Sundays I'd just rather not get out of bed but today i decided to go for a little browse and see what i can find. I used to always post a little haul of what items i found and I've not done that in ages so that's exactly what I'm going to do now!

Review | Maybelline Colour Sensation Elixir in Blush Essence

The Maybelline Colour Sensation Elixirs (£6.99 - available here) have been out for a little while now but despite my pining I've held off from picking one up until quite recently when i treated myself to a few new items from Boots (see my haul here) and i decided to pick up the Maybelline Colour Sensation Elixir in Blush Essence.

Make Up Products I've Used Up #2

Make Up Products I've Used Up #2

It's quite a satisfying feeling to finish up a make up product (unless you really loved it and then you have to go and buy it again) but knowing that the product hasn't gone to waste especially if you have a large collection like myself, it's makes me quite happy.

Spring Update | Make Up

Spring Update | Make Up

Spring is one of my favourite seasons as all pastels and florals start to appear and everyone just seems to be in a much brighter mood knowing that summer will soon be on it's way. As the seasons start to change so does my everyday make up and now that Spring time is slowly approaching (literally slowly, what is with this freezing cold wind?) it's time to switch it all up and bring out the more lighter and brighter products.
