Monthly Favourites & Goals | January

 photo IMG_4606_zpswwop40fz.jpg

How is it possible that we are already one month in 2016, it almost makes me sad that all the festivities and New Year are officially over and everything is back to normal. At the same time, January is my least favourite month so I'm pretty happy to see the back of it. As well as sharing my favourites from this month, I've decided to start setting myself a few goals for the month ahead!

Freedom Pro Contour Shaped Stick in Fair
I absolutely love this contour stick, you can read my full review here - it's such a great product. Both the contour and highlighter are creamy and blend easily. I love that you have full control of the application and for me, this is one of the best cream contour products I've tried, it's gives me natural yet visible results and i absolutely love applying it.

Freedom Brow Pomade in Dark Brown
I've been looking for the perfect brow product for a while and i think I've found it with this one. It's so easy to get natural, full and defined brows. It's so easy to use and i love the results it gives and once it's dried, it stays in place all day. You can read my full review here.

Bourjois Velvet Rouge in Nude-ist
I bought this purely because Essie Button talked about it in one of her videos and it looked like a really gorgeous nude shade. So i eventually found myself picking it up, it's not actually the colour i was expected it to be when i got it home but i really like it anyways. Nude-ist is a really gorgeous mauve pink - it's a little bit darker than i was expecting but i love how it looks anyways. I also really enjoy the formula of the Bourjois Velvet Rouge's.

Max Factor Velvet Volume False Lash Effect Mascara*
This mascara gives my lashes the perfect natural false lash look, it leaves them long, volumised, separated and natural. I absolutely loved the original False Lash Effect Mascara from Max Factor but this is even better. It doesn't smudge, flake or transfer - it's such good quality and i love the way it makes my lashes look. You can read my full review here.

Max Factor Colour Elixir Lipstick in Marilyn Cabernet*
Another Max Factor gem, to be honest i love the entire Marilyn Monroe Lipstick Collection from Max Factor but Cabernet is the shade i have worn the most. It's a deep red with purple undertones - i adore the formula of these lipsticks, they are so creamy and moisturising and feel so lovely to wear on the lips not to mention they smell incredible. You can read my full review here.

Real Techniques Tapered Foundation Brush
I'm normally not a big fan of the flat type foundation brushes but this whenever i use this, it gives me the most flawless finish. It's such a soft brush, really easy to clean and it feels so pleasant to use on the skin. Sadly, this is exclusive to the Deluxe Gift Set i got it in so you can't go out and buy it but here's my post on the set if you'd like to read about here.

One Line A Day
I won this way back in July i think it was and i decided to save it for January (the thought of starting it half way through the year really bothered me) anyways, I've been writing in it everyday so far and i absolutely love it. I really hope i keep up with it, because it'll be so interesting to read back over the years what i wrote each day. The sections are nice and small too so only need to write a couple of sentences down.

Busy Bee To Do Diary
For 2016, i wanted a diary that i could use for both my personal life and also to use for blogging too. I'm really happy with my choice; it has so much space in it, lots of different sections and it's nice and compact so i can keep it in my handbag. I love being able to keep my personal life and blogging stuff in one place because it means i constantly have it with me. It's the most money I've ever spent on a diary but i absolutely love it.

The OC
Somebody mentioned that they were re-watching The OC on twitter and then that made me want to re-watch it, so i did. I've now finished re-watching the four seasons but i forgot just how much i loved it. It's not everyone's cup of tea, it's quite cliche and in some parts a bit far fetched but i like and I've really enjoyed re-watching it. Also, Seth Cohen is my ideal man.

KRUPS Dolce Gusto Melody 3 Hot Drinks Machine
I've had this coffee machine for over a month now and i love it. I got mine for £37.99 as it was on offer at the time and it's one of the best things I've ever bought. I'm really fussy with coffee but i love the Caramel and Vanilla Latte Macchiatos that you can make with this - i prefer them over the Starbuck's Caramel Macchiato and i love them, you can also buy a box of the coffee pods for the price of one Starbucks drinks. There a wide variety of pods available from hot chocolates to teas and coffee so there is something for everyone - they even give you a £10 off voucher when you first buy the machine which is so generous. I adore this machine; they're delicious, so quick and easy to make and they are the same standard that you'd get in a coffee shop. Best Purchase Ever.

Even though, I've not long since set my 2016 life and blogging goals (see here) I've decided to set myself a couple of small goals each month to both help with the goals i set at the beginning of the year and also to give me a bit of a kick up the bum with other little things. If i write them on here each month, that i means i have to do them right?

Goals For February:
1. Start looking into college courses.
2. Finish collecting all materials to make the baby blanket.
3. Change my blog layout.

What are some of your monthly favourites?
