I don't know about you but i love Cheesy Garlic Bread so as part of my 'Be More Creative' goal, i found a recipe on Pinterest and decided to give it go. It's quick and easy and the perfect dish to share with family and friends. However, a slight warning for any of you on a health kick, this is probably not recommended.
I didn't really follow a set recipe off pinterest, i just saw the photo and made up my own way of doing it but this is one of those things that is pretty straight forward and you can really get creative with it and add other things to it - there is not way to get this wrong.
- Bloomer Bread (Or Tiger, basically any bread similar to this one)
- Garlic Butter
You can go the extra mile and make your own bread and garlic butter, i don't know how to do that and i find it much easier to just buy them.
First things first, slice the bread this is not a simple as it sounds - I've tried slicing it down and across as well as diagonally, i found it a lot easier to slice it diagonally. Some pieces will tear and it's not going to be perfect but don't worry about it, it's all going to be eaten and it'll still be delicious.
Slice the cheese and place it within every groove (you don't need the full block of cheese, just enough to fill in all the grooves) melt the garlic butter and sprinkle it all over the loaf and within the grooves - i find two of the little tubs to be enough for the entire loaf without it being too garlicky(?)- you really don't need to be neat with this just make sure it's all filled and covered.
Put in the oven and bake until the cheese has melted. I honestly play this by ear because all that you really need is for the cheese to melt and the garlic butter to infuse in - i find it usually takes about 15-20 minutes, depending on how much cheese and how large the bread.
Once the cheese has melted to your preference - tear apart the bread and enjoy it's gooey garlic cheesy goodness.
I've made this a few times now and it's honestly delicious, the warm bread with the melted cheese and the hint of garlic butter is just the perfect combination and as i mentioned earlier you can get so creative with it, I'm thinking about adding some mushrooms to it next time.
