Review | Freedom Brow Pomade in Dark Brown

Up until Anastasia released theres, I'd never heard of a brow pomade - i was very curious and constantly hearing good reviews but I'm very unsure when it comes to brow products because i feel like nothing properly works for mine so i refused to spend so a massive amount on it, so i put it to the back of my mind. Then, Freedom Cosmetics released a very affordable Brow Pomade alternative and on a unplanned make up splurge i decided to pick it up.

I don't really know the best way to describe a brow pomade, it's almost like the formula of a gel eyeliner but it's for your eyebrows? I feel like that's such an obvious thing to say but it is. One thing I'd suggest before picking this up is researching the shades, they have a wide variety but because mine was a unplanned purchase i hadn't really thought about which I'd need so i took a bit of a risk and hoped for the best with Dark Brown as that usually the shade i get in brow products. Luckily it's pretty good match for me but it was definitely a big risk.

The first time i used this i was quite terrified because it's so different to filling in your brows with powder or pencil, it almost feels like your painting them on. It has a very creamy consistency so it applies and blends really easily. I do like a natural brow so i take a very light hand and build up the colour to the intensity i prefer, it's is bold and pigmented so be careful because a heavy hand will results in a quick and easy scouse brow - unless that's what you're aiming for, in which case go head.

I like to apply mine with the Wilko Eyeliner brush as its thin and angled, and it's pretty good size for filling in my brows but it also allows me more control and precision with it. I never thought I'd ever say this but i actually enjoy doing my brows with this product - I've tried a lot of brow products this past year and whilst I've liked a lot of them and some did give me lovely natural results, i was never quite able to get the results i wanted that I've been able to get with this brow pomade.

After applying it, i brush through my brows just to remove any left over product and so that they look a little more natural and then continue with my make up whilst it dries. Once it's dried, it does not budge - my brows stay in place from morning til night.

I'm really happy with the Freedom Brow Pomade and for now, i feel like my search for the perfect brow product is done because i love the natural, defined look i can get with this product and the best part? It's only £5.00.

Also, starting from this week you may notice I'm aiming to only do one product review per week so that my content is a lot more varied - I've been working on a schedule of blogging every other day and so far I'm really happy with how it's going - do let me know your thoughts though?

Have you tried the Freedom Brow Pomade?

    1. Hi,
I got mine from my local superdrug, there wasnt tester pots though. Maybe others might have them though. I did a bit of a guessing game when deciding and i think i chose pretty well.

  2. I just purchased the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade and wish I saw this first, so much cheaper! I really need practice with it though, finding it hard to apply compared to my powder
