Urban Decay Naked Basic 2 Eyeshadow Palette

Urban Decay Naked Basic 2 Eyeshadow Palette

I absolutely love the first Urban Decay Naked Basics Eyeshadow Palette so since releasing the second version, I've been pining for it. As i already own, a lot of palettes i was in no rush to buy but picked it in Debenhams when i had some spare vouchers and their was a 10% off offer on too.

I'm not going to waste your time and pretty much repeat what every other beauty blogger has probably already told you. We already know that Urban Decay eyeshadows are great quality, they're pigmented, blend well together and don't crease so it's be very strange for this palette to be any different.

The packaging and the quality of the palette are the same high standards as the Naked Basics - it's small and compact, ideal for travelling and comes with 6 matte eyeshadow shades ranging from nude to black. All the basics you need to create a range of neutral eye looks.

I do genuinely enjoy this palette and have reached for it often since picking it up and i will continue to do so but i don't feel like its all that different from the first one to justify it being another palette, had i noticed this properly when i was buying it i probably wouldn't have bothered. The Naked Basics 2 is more cool toned and comparing them side by side you can see that they're different but it's not really a massive difference - it's literally only the first three shades that differ.

Would i recommend this as an eyeshadow palette? Yes i would as a standalone eyeshadow palette; it's brilliant, good quality and has a great range of natural shades. This is not a negative review at all as i do really like the palette but do you need Naked Basics 2 as well as Naked Basics in your collection, no you don't.

What are your thoughts on the Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Eyeshadow Palette?

  2. The shades in both are really pretty, although I wish they would have included another darker shade! I do agree with you that you probably don't need both palettes. x

    1. I thought i needed both, but the range of shades are too similar so personally i would deem both of them essentials. Individually, they are amazing palettes though.
