As you can see my plan to not buy anymore make up failed - epically. I bought the majority of these in one go, I've been searching for that perfect nude lip combination and ended up picking up a handful of products in an attempt to get there. I decided to do another initial impressions post, as i feel it went down pretty well last time.
Essence The Smokey Eye Pencil in Rosy but Goldie
This is a gold eyeliner pencil and i picked it up because it thought it'd be nice to run underneath the lower lash line to give it a pop of colour to the eyes. I've only tried it once so far and it was nice, it glides along the skin without dragging but you don't need to apply it quite a bit to get decent colour pay off.
Essence Lip Liner in Soft Berry
This is a really lovely colour - it's not like my usual berry shades, it's more of a brown toned plum shade. It's not as smooth as I'd like it to be, It takes a lot of effort to apply and it can drag a little bit but for the price of it, it's not bad.
Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lip Liner in Spice
I originally wanted Eastend Snob but my local Superdrug had sold out so i picked this one up instead. It was a bit of an impulse purchase and it's orange toned brown. Normally, I'd steer clear of anything like this and on it's own i don't like the colour but it's a nice base for other lipsticks and the pencil applies really smoothly onto the lips.
Essence Long Lasting Lipstick in Come Naturally
This looked like a really nice mauve pink tone nude in the bullet but on first application, the pigmentation wasn't that great. It has a lovely moisturising formula but it's quite sheer and not what I'd expected. However, I've been wearing it on top of the Rimmel Spice Lipliner and they two colours work quite well together.
Essence Liquid Lipstick in Colour Party
Colour Party is a lovely nude pink shade and i thought this would be great for just general everyday wear. It is a lovely colour, I've only tried this once so far and i found the formula to be a little sticky, which i don't love but i didn't leave it on for too long so I'll have to try it a few more times and see what it's like.
Essence Liquid Lipstick in Almost Real
This is the same lip product as above but this time is a plain beige tone nude. I've not actually tried this yet but I'm assuming its going to be similar to Colour Party.
Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara
This was a complete impulse buy when i got to the till as it was on offer. I wasn't quite sure what to expect after my disappointment with the lash sensational but so far I'm actually quite liking this mascara. It has quite a wet formula so you have to be careful not to layer it too much or it does clump but it gives a good amount of length to the lashes so I'm excited to keep using this.
Make Up Revolution Lipstick in 100% Vamp
This is a very dark wine/purple shade - looking at the photo it looks black. This is a really lovely lipstick, it has a lovely moisturising formula and stays in place for hours. I wore this when i went to see Rocky Horror Picture Show and because it's so cheap i honestly expected it to have either really faded or to have smudged all down my chin but it did neither.
MUA Lipstick in Raven
This actually is a black lipstick. Ive always wanted one and been curious as to whether I'd suit it or not. I've not actually worn this outside of my house but i quite like it. It makes me feel a bit gothic. It has a nice formula and applies to the lips quite smoothly. I don't know what the longevity of its like but so far i quite like it.
Let me know if you'd like to see any full in depth reviews of any of these products.
