I really like the brand Merumaya and after trying and loving their Mud Marvels Mask, i jumped at the opportunity to try another of their products when i was recently contacted. This time around i was sent their Merumaya Gentle Exfoliating Toner*

I've never used an exfoliating toner before so i didn't really know what to expect from it but after reading up on their website the toner promises to gently peel away dead skin, detoxify, cleanse and refine pores to reveal smoother skin. The toner contains Natural Alpha Hydroxy Acids which have proven to act as an exfoliant - they also help to remove dry skin and are useful in treating blemishes, problem skin and unblocking pores. It also contains hyaluronic acid which is famous for it's hydrating benefits.

I've been using this everyday since it came in the post - i put a small amount onto a cotton pad and wipe it all over my face, repeating it morning and night after cleansing. I really like the packaging of this because even when you click the top to open it, the product doesn't come out much until you squeeze it which is really practically because it means less of the product will be wasted.

Initial impressions of this toner were pretty good, i instantly noticed how much more gentle it was on my skin compared to other toners I've tried - it was drying nor did it make my skin feel tight. It was really gentle and pleasant and my skin felt instantly smooth after using it.

I have a little dry patch at the side of my nose which is proving very stubborn to get rid of, I've had it for ages now. It's not very nice and I've tried a lot of different lotions and potions and nothing has proved successful so far. Since I've started using this toner, I've noticed that the patch isn't as prominent - it's not gone completely and it still a little dry but it's definitely improved over the past few weeks. I'm assuming it's something to do with the hyaluronic acid and it's hydrating properties so I'm really hoping that it will continue to clear up.

Overall I'm really enjoying using this exfoliating toner, it does retail for £17.50 which isn't exactly budget friendly but i do feel it's a justified price, it's a good quality product that does give you the results it promises. If you want it to last much longer you don't actually have to use it everyday, both day and night, you can also use it as and when you feel your skin needs it.

Have you tried anything from Merumaya?
