The Urban Decay Naked Smokey Eyeshadow Palette is no stranger to beauty blogs, it's been out for quite a while but despite pining for it, i decided to wait til i bought it as i was definitely not in a rush for it. However, i did have to wait too long as my lovely sister bought it me for Christmas and I've been loving it ever since.
After the Naked 3 palette i didn't quite know what the next step would be in the Naked Palette range, i didn't really know what direction they could head in next but i was seriously impressed when i saw the Naked Smokey Palette. It features 12 new shades that are a mixture of matte and shimmery. They are all neutral shades just a little deeper and darker and the perfect colour combinations to create smokey eyes.
Like all, Urban Decay Eyeshadows these have the same excellent pigmentation, blendability and longevity (i do wear a base underneath) - they are such a good quality and the shade range compliments each other so well.
The packaging for this palette is definitely my favourite; the plastic casing feels so much more sturdy and secure and whilst i do like the other palettes packaging, i just think that this looks so much more luxurious and better quality, not to mention the marble detailing is very pleasing on the eye.
The shades i use the most are Thirteen (matte white beige), Combust (matte medium beige), Password (matte grey toned brown), Smoulder (deep purple with shimmer), High (shimmery pink beige) and Dirtysweet (shimmery gold) -- I've not quite mastered a smokey eye, it's a skill ill never posses but i really like this palette and i really enjoy the combinations I've come up with and i love using it for nights out because its a lot bolder then my other Naked palettes.
I've not included swatches in this post because by now you'll either already have this post or have already seen them. I know for a lot of people it's not necessary to own all Naked Palettes which is fair enough but this is nothing like the others and whilst i adore them all, i definitely think this is one worth checking out if you haven't already.
