Have you ever bought something because the name and the claim completely suckered you in? Well this was one of this purchases, add on that it was on offer for £6 it was in my basket and on it's way to me before i knew it. My skin isn't perfect; it has dry patches, red patches and a couple of bumps and blemishes so the Soap & Glory Kick Ass Super-Blur Imperfections Eraser sounded pretty amazing to me.
Now, I'm not saying this product isn't good or that it is good. Truth be told, i don't really know. The product itself doesn't really tell you anything about it, i had to look at the websites to get a better description and i know that's kind of my own fault for being suckered in by the name but at the moment, i find this product rather underwhelming.
The Soap & Glory Website describe it as 'a sumptuous blend of wax and lightweight oils that place a transparent layer of light-scrambling film where flaws once flourished...with FlawFillers™ micro-fine silicone resin spheres to fill in fine lines. You’ll look smoothed and mattified with natural luminosity'
I agree and disagree with their claims; it does leave the skin feeling smooth - after you apply it, that area of skin feels incredible but i wouldn't say it's mattifying and i personally don't see it blurring my imperfections. I don't know if maybe I'm using it wrong - do i apply it and let it soak in? Do i blend it in? There's just no clarity at all, it makes me feel like I'm stupid or missing something because it's just not doing anything for me.
You apply this under your foundation, so it's ultimately like a face primer but I'm assuming you just apply it in the specific areas rather than all over but i barely see a difference between when i use it and when i don't. The reason I'm posting this when I'm not fully decided on my opinion and why it's a 'Kind of' review is because I'm curious as to whether any of you have used it and whether maybe I'm using it wrong?
I feel like i need to spend a bit more time using this and see if I'm just missing something and who knows maybe it'll pop up in a favourites someday. Otherwise, it'll be a lesson learnt not to risk it all on a tempting name and a waste of £6.
