It's been ages since I've had a new Mac Lipstick to review on my blog; i was lucky enough to get two for Christmas - Creme Cup which was a replacement as I'd already used my first one up and then Lickable. Lickable was an impulse choice, i knew i was getting Creme Cup as my mum was getting it me for Christmas so when i was picking it out, my Nan told me to pick another one for her to put away for Christmas too. So i did some manic swatching and decided upon Lickable.

First things first, i don't love the name - I'm not a prude in any way but i don't know i just don't like it but that is the only negative thing i have to say about this lipstick, so i can live with that.  Mac describes Lickable as a blue toned pink; it looks quite dark in the bullet but it's actually nice bright pink (not quite fuchsia, think deeper) it's a very wearable shade and it's unlike any pinks i own. Also, i think because it's blue toned, it helps the teeth look a little whiter.

It's has a creme sheen finish and it has a really lovely formula; it's creamy and moisturising and applies smoothly on the lips. The colour payoff is great  and lasts for a few hours before fading to a soft pink stain and like all Mac Lipsticks it has that beautiful signature vanilla scent to it.

Lickable does have a subtle shimmer running through it but i don't think it's obvious nor does it transfer onto the lips. Before swatching this in store, i had never heard of it which is such a shame because it's a really lovely shade. I feel like this is going to be my go-to shade for spring and summer because it adds that beautiful pop of colour to the lips and i love that even though it's a bright pink, it's not like the typical fuchsia bright shades.
