This is going to be quite a lengthy post with many many photos so before you delve into it, I'm going to recommend stocking up on snacks and that you go make yourself a brew because you might be here a while.
I've mentioned my Bullet Journal on my blog quite a lot recently, I'm completely obsessed with it so i thought you might like a flip through post of whats inside my journal. Please note that this is essentially like a diary, so sharing these pages is quite personal and there are a few things that I've covered with a sticky notes that i don't wish to share but other than you can see virtually everything inside. Also, whilst i enjoy getting creative with washi tape and attempting to doodle - I'm not the greatest.
Ideally, this would have been better to do in a video format but I'm far too scared for that so a ridiculously long post will have to do instead.
My bullet journal starts with a quote; i hate the first page of any notebook, i always find they don't open fully so i decided to print off a quote and stick it in here. I opted for 'Do all things with kindness' because i felt it's pretty good mantra to have. My second page is my word for 2016 which i completely stole the idea off someone else (i don't remember who it was but i saw it in a yt video) i loved this idea, they chose the word Flourish - so i was very unoriginal and stole that also because i really liked the meaning behind it - to develop in a healthy and vigorous way. So kudos to the person whose idea this was because i love it.
My index is next which is pretty self explanatory and I've kept two pages behind that blank too. I then have another quote - 'A cup of tea solves everything' - i love this saying, it's something that i always say and i feel like it's quite British in that whenever something is going on someone will always put the kettle on. You'll notice i do have a few quotes pages like this, i just think they make really lovely pages and who doesn't love a good quote?
One of my favourite pages is my Place for Stickers - this is almost like my version of a future log. I write any appointments or things i need to remember on my sticky notes and i stick them all here so i can reference back to them or until i can add them into my weekly overviews. I love this page a lot and i didn't expect myself to use it half as much as i do but it's been really useful.
I included a 2016 Calendar because most bullet journals had one so i felt like i should too and next to that i have my savings tracker - funnily enough, since starting my bullet journal I've broken into my savings more than ever. I'm aiming to put so much aside each month and I've also added a box at the bottom to track whatever I've taken out too but I've hidden that with the post it note so you don't see how naughty I've been taking money out.
After that, I'm tracking the books that I've read this year (I'm aiming for 26 on goodreads) and im also tracking any sewing projects I've completed - this page is looking a little sparse at the moment. Then i have another quote - 'I myself am entirely made of flaws, stitched together with good intentions'.
I then have my key which is a vital page for Bullet Journalling and rapid logging. People tend to have their key at the very start of their journals but i choose to add mine a little later. Since taking these photos i have actually changed up my key page because i just wasn't happy with it at all it's now a lot nicer to look at.
As a blogger, i also wanted to use my bullet journal to help with my blog too so each month i have a favourites and goals page so i can keep track them throughout the month ready for my monthly favourites posts and I also have a page overview of when and what posts are going up.
Then it's onto my weekly overviews; i prefer doing a weekly overview rather than a daily one and I'm trying to mix up the layouts of each week to keep it interesting but also to see which one works for me. I like writing quotes in any white spaces, I've also tried doing meal plans and little gratitude logs. It's very much trial and error to see what works for you but i really enjoy drawing out my layouts to the point i hate waiting a week to do the next one.
You can also see from some of my daily tasks that i don't always get everything done and somethings get migrated to another day and i love that, i don't punish myself if i don't get something done but i also make sure that i don't take advantage of that. Since I've started this Bullet Journal I've found myself being more productive and trying to get more stuff done because i love crossing off the boxes its really satisfying.
After that i have a quotes page, I'm forever hearing or reading really great quotes and i always forget them so I've been writing them down in here or if i don't have my bullet journal on me, i write them on twitter and save them as a draft until i can add them here. Next is my blog stats page, i have a more in-depth one on my laptop but i like using this to track things like page views, bloglovin followers and also the followers on my other social media accounts too.
I decided to an Online Order Tracker as I'm forever ordering little bits and bobs mostly off EBay and because most of them come from Hong Kong or China they usually take weeks to come and i end up forgetting about things so I've decided to track them on here. It's also a good way to track how much I'm ordering, at the moment I've mostly been ordering washi tape.
I decided to include a little blog brain dump for April, May and June - this is just a place i can jot some ideas down for those months. At the moment, I've not really found this page quite as useful as I'd hoped but i think that's because I've already planned a lot of my posts for April and May and the music playlist page is something that i wanted to try out, i go through phases of being obsessed with certain songs so i thought it'd be interesting to track them each month - i don't think im going to keep this page for next month though as i've just not really found myself using.
Again, i have a Monthly favourites and blog post page as i did for March but this month I've also introduced a habit tracker. I can be quite lazy and somewhat unproductive so i thought maybe this might be helpful in encouraging me to do more and to fill in the boxes - i have things on there like Instagram, read, change my bedding, clean make up brushes etc... I'm really liking this so far and I'm hoping that each month my productivity will improve. Also, if you wondering why it's really empty it's because i took the photos at the beginning of the month.
I've seen a few bullet journals with these memories pages so i decided to try one in mine as i think they can look really nice. I'm a little worried that mine won't really get filled much because I'm pretty boring and i don't always do that many exciting things but I'm going to try it out for this month and see how it goes.
You can see from these weekly overviews how I've mixed up layouts - I've also started to accept that meal planning just isn't work for me at the moment, I've tried it for a few weeks but i either don't finish filling it in or i just don't follow it so I'm giving up on including those in my layout for now. I've also included my 26 Things Before 26 in here so i can track it on the go and I'm really happy with these pages i do my best to keep a colour scheme on each page, this one is mostly pink and yellow and i love how bright and summery it is.
That is the entirety of my Bullet Journal so far. I can't recommend bullet journalling enough, it's so versatile, i love putting my pages together and i really like how you can adapt it so it works for you. I'm thinking about doing a post soon on my May set up, if you'd be interested in seeing that?
I hope you like it!
Do you Bullet Journal?
