I've been on the hunt for that perfect nude nail for ages, every time i tried a nude polish it was either too white, too grey or too beige. It was never quite the 'perfect' nude that i was looking for. A few weeks ago i decided to have a browse through my nail polish collection and came across a mini Nails Inc Nail Polish in Porchester Square.
Funnily enough, i have absolutely no idea where I've got this from or how long I've had it. I don't know if i picked it up in a car boot sale, it was a magazine freebie or whether i got it in my advent calendar a couple of years ago. I haven't got a clue but i decided to try it out anyways and i love it.
It is the 'perfect nude' shade that I've been looking for and it's been in my drawer along. It's such a gorgeous colour, it does need two coats as the first one applies quite streaky but it has a lovely shiny finish and the colour is amazing. It's like a muted grey tone/ mushroom kind of shade and it's exactly what I've been looking for.
Sadly, my tiny little polish isn't going to last very long but i also don't want to fork out £14 for a new one, so i decided to do a little research.
It didn't take me very long, thanks to Vivianna Does Make Up but i found the perfect dupe Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint in Almond and best of all, it's £10 cheaper. Personally, i can't really see much of a difference between the two - they both even have a streaky first coat but apply lovely on the second.
They both have a gorgeous shiny gel-like finish and they are both the perfect nude shade that I've been looking for all along. Since discovering this, I've barely taken it off my nails. It's just such a classy look and i feel like it makes my nails look much more tidier and grown up.
What's your perfect nude nail?
