Natural Collection is one of those budget brands that has been around for as long as i can remember; it's basic, natural and affordable but it's been a brand that I've not paid very much attention to so when i was offered the chance to try some products from Natural Collection, i was rather intrigued.
Natural Collection is a brand that believes in keeping make up natural and simple with easy, staple products. This particular box has the theme of 'Get Glowing' and is filled with the essential products to help you achieve that perfect natural and radiant look in 3 easy steps.
First, using the Natural Collection Tinted Moisturiser in Natural* - i was a bit unsure about what this would be like, i honestly expected to hate it but it's actually a lovely tinted moisturiser. It has a very light coverage but i paired mine with a little bit of concealer to hide any blemishes and that was fine. It was really light and give the skin a lovely soft and natural finish. This is then set in place with the Natural Collection Pressed Powder in Warm*, this is just your typical face powder - it sets the base in place and also removes any shine.
I'm not going to lie; in the pan the Natural Collection Bronzing Powder in Golden Glow* looks terrifying, it's also a shimmery bronzer which I'd normally steer clear of but i decided to give it a try anyway and i was pleasantly surprised. It's not overly pigmented so it's quite subtle on the skin and i didn't really notice much of a shimmer to it.
As you can see my Natural Collection Blush in Pink Cloud* didn't travel quite so well, i don't mind all that much though because I've still been able to use it, it's just more of a mineral blush. I've only tried one Natural Collection blush before, in Peach Melba and i wasn't a fan of it as i just found the pigmentation to be terrible but this one was actually okay. It applies a subtle hint of pink to the cheeks and it actually looks lovely.
I think Natural Collection is a very basic brand but i think it's quite often overlooked - i took these two photos right after i first tried out all four of these products and i was pleasantly surprised. The overall look was very simply and natural but i felt like my skin has a bit of a glow to it and it's the perfect spring make up look.
The one thing that I'm a little confused about is that i don't know if this box is just being sent to selected bloggers, whether it's a monthly subscription box and whether it's available to everyone - the letter included is a little vague, i have emailed to find out but I'm yet to received a reply as the lovely lady I've been dealing with is currently out of office so as soon as i know the full ins and outs of the box - I'll add a little note on this post and maybe do a tweet for anyone that's curious too.
EDIT: At the moment, this beauty box is just a one off box for bloggers to try out some of their products.
Either way, if you would like to try any of these products they are available in Boots and retail for a whopping £1.99 each. It is a basic brand, the packaging is a bit cheap but you can't deny that for the price these are pretty decent products and perfect for anyone that's on a tight budget - i know I'll pay more attention to the stand next time I'm in Boots.
