When i saw the new releases of the Make Up Revolution Lip Amplification Lipgloss; i was straight onto the website making an order, i had no idea what to expect but they look amazing and i was instantly hooked by the shades. I ordered Maximum Joy and Conviction and i waited what felt like forever for them to arrive.

Both of these products have a really lovely formula; they're quite creamy and really comfortable to wear on the lips which can make or break a lip product for me. There is nothing worse than a lip product that feels sticky and is uncomfortable to wear so in terms of the formula these get a massive thumbs up from me.

Now due to my own ignorance i didn't actually realise they were lipglosses - i assumed that they were liquid lipsticks or a stain so had i noticed that i probably wouldn't have been so keen to order them as lip glosses are my least favourite type of lip product. Saying that though, these are so highly pigmented that you'd think that they were a liquid lipstick, they become opaque in one single sweep.

As they are a lip gloss they do have a glossy finish which is lovely but the thing that makes me a bit unsure about them is that i feel like these need a lip liner before you apply them because they're not the easiest to apply neat (possibly just me) but they're the type of product that if you mess it up, it'll be really noticeable. Also, as it's a lipgloss the staying power on these isn't amazing but because they are bold colours it doesn't disappear completely it just fades away. I've found that wearing a lipliner underneath makes the fade a lot neater because there is a base underneath so it fades a bit more evenly if that makes sense?

I mostly wear bold lips on nights out so i like products that i don't have to worry about it disappearing off my lip or that's going to disappear as i drink and whilst I've found a way to work with that, the night i wore one of these i found myself constantly checking my lips to make sure it was in place and that's not something i want to be doing so i don't think I'll be wearing these on anymore nights out but i will use them for day to day or other occasions.

The shade Maximum Joy is the one that caught my eye the most - it's such a gorgeous shade. I'd describe it as plummy, burgundy, maroon type of shade which I'm a bit obsessed with - it's quite a deep dark red that has a plum tone to it. Even though we are in Spring, i still can't get enough of these plum shades, i just think they are so beautiful.

Conviction on the other hand is a very deep, dark purple shade - it's doesn't look like the colour you expect it to be and when it first came, i was panicking because in the bullet it looks like a really ugly dark brown shade but then you open it and you can see all the purple tones. This is such a statement lip product and i just love the colour - there is something about wearing such a dark and almost gothic shade that makes you feel quite badass.

I wouldn't say these are my favourite lip products i own and i think they'd have been so much better as a lip stain or a liquid lipstick rather than a lipgloss but that's just my own preference. Otherwise, you just can't fault them on the pigmentation, the formula or the price.

Have you tried the Make Up Revolution Lip Amplification Lipglosses?
